Just a thought while celebrating the Giants victory........ I wonder if Jake Simmons 53 point weekend (20 of 37 from the field - 54%, including 11 of 21 from beyond the arc - 52%) vs. Potsdam & Plattsburgh, might qualify him for A - SUNYAC Player of the week, B- ECAC Player of the Week and/or C D3Hoops team of the week?. Might I add that he scored 53 pts. in 48 mins of play (20 mins vs. Potsdam and 28 mins vs. Plattsburgh) and his 9  - 3 pointers vs. Plattsburgh broke a school record that has stood  since 2005!!!

  Just a thought!! ;)

Go GIANTS!!

1 down ....Simmons SUNYAC Player of the Week. ;) (see below)

New Top 25 Poll out. Oswego drops a few more points from 48 down to 40 and goes from 27th to 28th. No mention of Buffalo State at all. NYU goes from #23 to #17 as their point total goes from 87 to 192. No other East Region team gets a point.

No Buff State????      *#$%^&*(+)*&^%$#@. (Had to get that off my chest!) >:(

Well I can at least get a little enjoyment reading "10 questions for Norman Simmons"

It reminds me why I respect the kid so much!! :)

Three games on tap for tonight.  I'm off to Middlebury to see the game so this is going to be real quick

Plattsburgh at Middlebury   7:30

Cards up against the top team in all of D3. Hope it's better then the Buffalo State game turned out. Point spread has Plattsburgh as a 23 point underdog. I hope it's closer.   Middlebury 74 Plattsburgh 61

Oswego State @ Geneseo 8 PM

Line has the Lakers favored by 6 points. Sounds about right.  Oswego 71 Geneseo 65

Cortland State @ Brockport State   8 PM

Oddsmakers have the Golden Eagles as a 1 point favorite. Brockport can't afford to lose this one, especiallt at home, especially after losing to the other Red Dragons. I think birds beat dragons this time. Brockport 78-74 over Cortland.

I'm feeling an upset coming in 1 of those contests!!

15:41 left in the 2nd half. Plattsburgh down by 5 (36-31) vs #1 Middlebury. Upset in the making?! ???

Bengalsrule

Cortland up by 1 at the half vs. Brockport.

Plattsburgh down 61-45 with about 6:30  left

jdex

Oswego 48, Geneseo 39 with 8' left

Cortlnd by 5 with 6' to play

Plattsburgh falls 73-54 to Middlebury whose Ephs pull away. Five point game at 14:39. Burgh down 9 at 7:33 before hosts land trey. S. Fields 16 pts(5x14) for Cards, J. Perez 12 pts(6x12fg) and 7 rebs. Middlebury with 47-27 reb advantage. R. Sherry 20 pts(10x14fg), 13 rebs;N. Thompson 14 pts, 8 rebs

with age came?

Thanks for the update jdex.  Be interested to get magic's take on Middlebury.  My gut feeling tells me that there are better teams out there in d-3 but none with undefeated records.  Is Middlebury the Ephs?  Always thought that was Williams?  Been trying to follow that league a little more now that Hamilton joined them.   Just a damn tough league.  5 or 6 really good teams.

Couldn't happen to a nicer kid. Nor 1 who has been through as much crap in thier life as Jake Simmons has been through! It's a small miracle that the kid is still here, let alone enrolled in college! :D

with age came?

Truly appreciate the links Bengals.  Stories like that really are inspiriing in so many ways. :)
