Cortland rolls to 44-21 halftime bulge at Fredonia. Bench overwhelms the Freds. A. McGuire and M. Kelly pace the late first half surge, certainly fresh after seeing no action Friday. Same with point guard D. Sweitzer who plays a good deal of the period. Fredonia also unloads bench but with little success. B. Estarfaa scores seven points early to lead dominating RDragons. Actually, J. Cooper's nine marks top Cortland pointmakers. Kelly with seven

Plattsburgh leads Oneonta 40-30 at the half. Great video feed but live stats didn't work for most of the period. Finally just checked and they are up and running.  Cards with balanced scoring are led by Ed Corea with 8 points. Corea scored all 8 points in one minute and 26 seconds by hitting a jumper, a 3 pointer and then another 3 pointer. The Cardinals were trailing 18-15 and after Ed's explosion they were up 23-18 and never trailed the rest of the period. They extended that lead to as much as 38-25 but sloppy play in the final 3 minutes  allowed the Red Dragons to close within 10 at the break. Xavier Thomas with 7 points, Kyle Richardson with 6 points and Isaiah Johnson also with 6 points.

Seth Thompson with 7 points and Jack Dignan with 6 to lead Oneonta.

Brockport holds off Hobart by a final score of 82-81.  Corrected score.

I think it was 82-81 Brockport. I caught the very end and the score on the video had 82-81.

I'm looking at a live stats page that shows the final as 82-78 with 0:00 on the clock but they have been wrong before. In fact they are wrong quite often. ;D

I think Hobart hit a 3 as time expired. That might have broken the live stats. It doesn't function well at the end of halves!

Buffalo State hands Oswego their first defeat 66-56. Good comeback for the Bengals. Makes my Cardinals tied with Cortland for 1st Place in the YAC. Thanks Bengals. ;D

It's now a final in Oneonta  as Plattsburgh defeats the Red Dragons by an 85-67 score.

Heavens to Murgatroyd, hold the presses...the Potsdam Bears are leading New Paltz by a  69-54 score with 2 minutes left to play.

And neither team scores in the final 2 minutes and 28 seconds of the game making the final 69-54. Potsdam finally gets a W and that will make their long trip back to the North Country a much happier occasion.
