So once again Kyle Richardson has another big week to put him in position to be named the SUNYAC Player of the Week. This is the 3rd time that Kyle has a chance to be honored with the weekly award. The question is....will he finally get it? Or will it be snatched from him once again, this time by his own teammate, Jon Patron. Here's the story:

While Jon outscored Kyle by 2 points total, Kyle had 9 more rebounds than Jon. Kyle's shooting percentages weren't as good as Jon's but Kyle played quite a few more minutes than Jon did. Once again it is a pretty close race to decide the POTW winner.

My vote goes to Kyle because he's been denied twice before when he deserved it. Enough is enough. The YAC needs to show him, some respect....finally!!!

But Jon Patron certainly has the stats to command a POTW award...I just hope he can duplicate this 2 game outburst in the near future and claim the weekly honor. Just think that Kyle shouldn't be overlooked a 3rd time. Then again maybe overlooking Kyle is what drives him.  If that's the case...then give it to Jon.

My Crystal ball says that a "Plattsburgh player will be this weeks P.O.W." !  I'm hooping that its Kyle so that his next full week of games (1/4-9th), he can slow down a little. Or at least slow down on the 9th!!   So SUNYAC, if you are listening, Kyle Richardson should be the POW (or maybe Co-player with Patron?)

Can't catch the 7 to Barclay's   7 goes out to Queens  , so if you ever went to a Mets game at Citi Field, you could certainly catch the 7express there 
2 & 3 (7th avenue line) go directly from Penn Station to Barclay's Center.  A block away from Penn Station at Harold Square (Broadway & 33rd St) the N, R & Q (Broadway line) and the B & D (6th Avenue lines) go to Barclay's Center as well.

Jon Patron is making a big Impact as a Freshman the last couple of games.
That is trouble for the rest of the SUNYAC.
He comes from a great HS basketball program at Harborfields.
There seems to be a pecking order at Plattsburgh and most freshman don't get a lot of minutes.
He will be fun to watch the rest of the way.
Coach Curle seems to get a lot of talent from Downstate NY.

Hmmmm Monday has come and , is almost, gone and no POW. Fear not OWM1. Last year, for some strange reason, the final POW of the week came out on Tuesday, Dec 22nd (after the previous 1's were on Monday 12/14, 12/7 etc...). May have to wait another day before your Card (s) get their award! Its coming though!

LOL back in high school when I used to go down there a lot, I used to know all the subways, where they went better then I knew the back of my hands.  Now that real world has interfered with all the youthful fun, I don't get in there as often, so had to check to make sure what I was gonna send you was correct because I didn't want to send you out to Rockaway, Queens or Coney Island with the wrong subway

Richardson showed his dominance early in Sunday's game against UMass Dartmouth, scoring 22 points in the first half alone on 9-of-11 shooting. He would finish the afternoon with 26 points and 10 rebounds as the Cardinals went on to win, 99-95. Richardson collected his fifth double-double in eight games played thus far."


To complete his double-double and top the week off, Kyle was also named to the D3hoops Team of the Week. Here's the write up from the D3hoops front page article:

SUNYAC POW and  D3Hoops Team of the week (national team of the week for those who aren't familiar). Quite the honor. I can't remember the last Yac player to make D3Hoops team of the week, (Ill wait for magic to reveal that). ECAC is just a foregone conclusion (if you ask me)!
