89-86 Fredonia with 11 seconds left. Taking forever in Geneseo for the final 30 seconds.

Final in Geneseo as Fredonia pulls off the shocker beating the Blue Knights 89-86.

Buffalo State trailed the entire game until they finally got their first lead with 3:32 to go. They win going away by a final score of 81-73 and exorcise some demons that have haunted them for the past 4 years.

Sorry pg04 that was a tough one. Especially after holding the lead for so long.

It's now a foul shooting contest in Brockport.

Fortunately Jordan Glover came through at the line. 3rd tough 1 in a row. Gonna have to refill my blood pressure medicine Tommorrow ! :o. I'll let the magic 1 do the honors. I'm whipped! :P

Bport has to learn how to finish games. The foul line killed them again as it did with Bridgewater St(reason for 3 OT game). Those are the things that win and lose games as we all know. Still love my Eagles but to step to that next level the foul shots got to be made. Congrats to the Bengals--Don't count my Eagles out. Hopefully learned a good lesson tonight. Coach Dunne and the boys will be ready for the next one. Good luck!

Definitly a playoff team. They miss Aaron White but Brockport is deep and hungry. Dunn always gets them better as the season goes on!

Sorry pg04 that was a tough one. Especially after holding the lead for so long.

That last 7 or so minutes of the game got me quite frustrated! As scooter said there is much work to be done at the foul line. There were also a couple times they were a little too frantic in taking shots or so it seemed. They can't slouch too long about it of course, as full weekend to come.

The Bengals did well to slowly chip away and keep the lead once they got it. Hopefully they keep on chugging.

I hope they "slouch" for 10 more days. The Golden Eagles come to Buffalo State next weekend (15th).  I'm all 4 the "chugging" along pg04!!  :) The first day of Yac 2016 should scare the begeezers out of everybody.  Oneonta , Fredonia have both served notice that their best is yet to come!  Playing in a great conference has its drawbacks. No easy outs. Anything less than 3 bids for the Yac will be disappointing!!

My Bengals head to Potsdam Friday. If ever there was a team that scares me, Potsdam which is probably the youngest team in the Yac, is that team. The Bears have nothing to lose and everything to play for. Those 9 freshman don't have any reason to fear anyone! Those bears are gonna be hungry. I guess that's what makes the Sunyac special!

That's right, keep worrying about those Bears, they are the ones that can cuff you silly and beat the living tar right out of you. Don't worry about those Redbirds, pay no attention to them as they're as harmless as a bunch of field mice. Focus on those Bears, cause they will be hungry and they can gobble you right up. So don't even give those Cardinals a second thought...just ignore them completely. Fuggedaboutem. Pretend they're a figment of your imagination. They are extinct. Just a memory. Keep walking...nothing here to get excited about. They are just one of magicman's illusions.

The greatest trick the magicman ever pulled was convincing the SUNYAC that the Cardinals didn't exist...And just like that...poof...they're gone. :o

The SUNYAC Player of the Week is Hamed Shamseldin from Brockport State. Here's the write up from the SUNYAC page:

Hamed Shamseldin, Brockport State
Lawrence, N.Y. / Lawrence

Hamed Shamseldin averaged 24 points, shot 46.6 percent (14-30) from the field, and dished out two assists per contest in a week that saw the Golden Eagles finish 1-1. In a triple overtime win against Bridgewater State University on Dec. 28, Shamseldin scored a career high 31 points, shooting 10-of-20 from the field, 3-of-4 from beyond the arc, and a perfect 8-of-8 from the charity stripe. The sophomore also picked up four rebounds, two assists and one block in the contest. Shamseldin netted 17 points the following day, in a tough loss to No. 10 ranked John Carroll University. The Lawrence, N.Y. native also added two assists and one rebounds in the loss.

And guess which team from the YAC is now Mr. Massey's  favorite team. I want to know what Bengalsrule promised him in that email he sent him the other day. First Mr. Massey jumps the Bengals from  #112 to #71. Then he bumps them up further to #67. Now he puts them all the way up into his Top 50 by giving them the #47 spot.

He drops my Cardinals 4 spots to #55 and says he moved them up +4 places. He doesn't know his pluses from his minuses. Oswego's meltdown hasn't shown up yet but when that does, they won't in the #49 spot where he has them right now. Cortland up a few to #60. Geneseo at #61 but that ship will be sinking when the Fredonia result hits the board. Oneonta at #84 and rising soon while Brockport falls even further to #116.

At Buff State they have 1 motto. "THE NEXT GAME IS THE ONLY ONE THAT MATTERS!"  No disrespect to Cards , Red Dragons, Blue Devils etc.  Bengals never look past an opponent. That's how you get in trouble (IMHO)!  Heck there are some "pundits" who feel that Geneseo had their eyes set on their game vs Oneonta this Friday even before Fredonia stepped on the court! Who knows about Oswego?  Thier next game is against fellow green and gold Brockport!
So be sure that coach Ansari respects every team in the conference.  Heck he respects every team Buff State plays but he never talks about any team/game other than the next 1 up. Don't you try starting any cr-p >:( with Richardson and company by saying anything else other than what I've said here! :-X. I know where you live at ( or at least where you work at  :D.)

Go BENGALS!

Ps. Does anyone know when the next "Hoopsville" show is gonna be??  I sensing that there is gonna be a seriously good coach on the show!  ;D

Did mr Massey tell you what I "promised" him?  Damn the dude can't keep a secret!! :o. I guess I don't have to ship him season tickets to the Knicks game since he revealed our agreement. ( enter "sarcastic" emoticon here).
