Games on tap for the night
Brockport at Oswego a game that ill be attending but I like Oswego in a close low scoring game 62-58

Geneseo at Cortland I like Geneseo to win and get back on track 75-73. I think Geneseo is a very good team and i dont know what has been going on lately with them.

Good to hear from young mr Cahill again!!

Make sure you listen to Hoopsville Thursday night... Mr. Cahill gets a shoutout LOL... and no, that's all the information you get.

Too busy today to spend much time here.

Two games tonight  1 starting in 5 minutes.

I'll take the home team Red Dragons who are favored by 5 points in this matchup. Last 3 years the teams have each won at home. I think that will continue. Cortland wins this one by an 83-79 final score.

jdex

Geneseo on J. Decker 3-pter at the buzzer leads Cortland 36-35 at intermission. Tight one. Geneseo shoots 50 percent from the field and holds 33-28 lead -- largest by either side. RDragons return for 35-34 edge on S. Martinez bucket before Decker trey. Cortland hitting at 40 percent from the field, outboarding the guests 21-12

J. Ringen 9 pts for Geneseo. C. Joseph 10 pts(5x9fg) for Corts. B. Estarfaa scoreless (0-1fg)

Brockport State  at Oswego State     7:30 PM

Both of these teams need a win tonight in the worst way as they each come into this game with a 1-2 conference record. Whoever leaves Laker Hall tonight with a 3rd YAC loss this early in the season will have put a big hurt on their chances of a top seed in the playoffs. Both teams coming into this game off a loss and in a highly unusual twist of fate both teams are coming into the contest with a double digit loss against the same team...the Oneonta Red Dragons. Oneonta beat Oswego last Tuesday night by a 90-52 pasting and the Lakers haven't played since. Over the weekend Oneonta played Geneseo and then Brockport. They defeated Brockport by a 78-68 score to own the distinction mentioned above. Oneonta didn't leave Geneseo out of the equation either, as they are the last team to beat the Knights and also did it by a double digit margin of  76-65.

The oddsmakers have made the Lakers a 5 point favorite and I'm inclined to go along with that. Both of these teams return a big part of their starting lineups from a year ago. And last year the Lakers seemed to have the Golden Eagles number as they won both games and the one in Max Zeil Gym was a 15 point win. I think Port will keep it closer this year  but see the Lakers winning this one by a 73-69 final score to get back on the winning path.

Tight one continues in Cortland as Geneseo continues to lead by a slim margin 66-64   with 3:56 to go.

magicman

Geneseo up by 6 but Cortland scores 5 straight points to close within 1 at 70-69 with 1:51 to play.

magicman

Tie game at 73 with 53 seconds left and Geneseo with the ball coming out of a time out.

magicman

2 free throws by John Decker give the Knights a 75-73 lead. 26 seconds left and Cortland with the ball and a time out. Do or die time.

magicman

Red Dragons waste little time as Blair Estarfaa buries a three ball with 17 seconds left. Geneseo with the ball and a time out, down 76-75. This could be the last possession of the game coming up.

magicman

Decker buries a 2 point jumper to give the Knights the lead with 5 seconds left. Cortland comes down and Estarfaa gets knocked to the floor but no call and Geneseo walks off with the win.

I attempted to find last second video but was unsuccessful using this or Cortland's site.  :(
