You're right I saw 2 losses last year to Brockport forgot that was one of the years you played them 3 times. So I apologize it was only 9 of the last 10 going into this year. Duly noted and corrected.

You must have been talking to my wife to know my middle name.??? ;D

And that story she told you about a turtle, a washtub, a garden spade and a visit to the emergency room....pure fabrication.  It never happened...at least in my mind it never happened. ::)

I'm happier at the moment than I was earlier this morning as I just checked and the Oswego State basketball website is now showing a link for both livestats AND Video. They only had a livestats link up earlier. l sure hope that means a webcast is in order for tonight's game. Go Cardinals.

Much easier time than I expected as Plattsburgh leads by a comfortable margin the entire 2nd half. Up 11 at the break the Cardinals quickly extend that margin to 15 early in the 2nd half. The Lakers get a quick spurt and cut the lead to 57-48 to get it back into single digits with 14:43 on the clock. The Cardinals responded with an 11-3 run and the lead was 68-51 with 9:34 left to play.

Cardinals cruised home from that point as the Lakers got no closer than 11 points the rest of the way. Plattsburgh once again was led by Kyle Richardson with 29 points and 8 rebounds. It's only the 3rd time in 11 games that Kyle has failed to get a double double. He was 10x12 from the field, 3x4 from 3 point land and 6x7 from the line. He also had 2 steals, 2 blocks and 2 assists.

Back up point guard and one of the first players off the Cardinals bench, Eli Bryant established a new career high as a Cardinal as he fired in 21 points (9x13 fg, 3x5 3's, 0x1 ft). He added 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals in 26 minutes.

Eddie Correa was the other Cardinal in double figures as he dropped in 13 points with a trio of 3 pointers. He also had 3 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal. Jon Patron had 9 points along with 5 rebounds, while Zack Coleman ran the point with 6 assists, 5 points, 4 steals and a block.

Brian Sortino and Walter Sampson were the leading scorers for the Lakers as they each had 13. Keith Tyson added 10 points, while Demetrius Mitchell had 8 points and a team leading 5 rebounds. Alex Rawa also had 5 rebounds to go with his 5 points.

Cardinals had the better shooting percentages from the field and from long range, while the Lakers were better from the line. Both teams with only 10 turnovers each and the Cardinals had the edge off the glass by a 40-32 margin.

Plattsburgh improves to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in the SUNYAC. They will meet the Cortland Red Dragons on Saturday afternoon with first place on the line.

Oswego is now 8-4 overall and they have lost 4 conference games in a row to fall into an 8th place tie with Potsdam State at 1-4 in the YAC. They can break that tie with the Bears as they host Potsdam tomorrow at 4:00 PM.

The Lakers chances of making the SUNYAC Playoffs and defending their title have taken a serious hit, especially with the abundance of solid teams vying for those coveted 6 spots. As I said earlier, a very good team will not have a chance to make the playoffs this year. Any one of the 6 teams that will battle it out for the Conference Championship has the talent to win it, but getting in is half the battle.
