Oswego got the lead up to 60-46, but Del Val has went on a 7-0 run and it's 60-53. 7 minutes left. Crunch time!

Update: 64-60 Oswego with 3:55 left in the game. A nailbiter.

Update 2: Oswego has given away the lead and tied at 65 with 45 seconds left. Del Val has a free throw left after the timeout.

WPI waving white flag at 2:34, down 63-43 to Cortland. As usual JP Reagan provides Cortland spark.

And we go to overtime tied at 68. Oswego was up 68-66 but committed a foul with .8 seconds left, ugh. After barely being able to shoot a free throw all game, Del Val hits both to force the OT.

Oswego comes out really well in OT, up 79-73 with a 1:30 left. Come on hold on!

pg04

Oswego dominates in OT and wins 88-78! An awesome game for Sortino who goes for 39 points.

Plattsburgh is down 5 and in serious danger with 6:58 left.  :-\

Update: Cardinals still down 4 with 3:32 left. But they've cut the lead down from 8.

Plattsburgh loses 84-81 and I'm depressed about it!

pg04

I would expound upon the dirty details but I know Magicman will do that better than I could.

pg04

Also, I want to congratulate Plattsburgh on a great season. They deserve much kudos. You also have one of the greatest fans in D3!

I 2nd that pg04. I know what its like to be on a teams bench and you just played the last game that you will ever play in that particular season. For seniors, their last college game ever!  Its tough. I can only imagine what magicman is going through right now. Having been with him ( or should I say,  in the same gym with him) for at least 3 or 4 (or 5??) of the Buff State at Plattsburgh games. I know first hand that he is the life blood of their non-student fan section (many of their students sit across from the team bench's as opposed to behind)!.  Coaches from every visiting SUNYAC team know who he is. He's almost like that Dos Equis guy (beer commercial). Legendary up north and beyond!

Congrats to Oswego and Cortland also. 2 live on. Possibly 1/8th of the  "Sweet 16" are from the SUNYAC?

Go SUNYAC!!

If you're depressed about it imagine how the magicman feels.  :( >:( :P :'(

The Cardinals laid an egg tonight. Losing Jon Patron, their 2nd leading scorer and rebounder, for the rest of the season, was a huge blow to Plattsburgh. The Cardinals still should have won this game. They were the better team but they made poor decisions at crucial times. When you out-rebound the opposition 46-32 you usually win the game. 19 turnovers that resulted in 25 points will counter the rebound advantage in a hurry.

Thanks for the congrats and condolences from 2 super SUNYAC fans as well.

Bengalsrule did you get the email I sent you this morning and did it fill the bill?
