Un official regional rankings

I certainly am not planning to disappear before or after February 18.   ;D

My Keene Owls are certainly disappearing, though, with really frustrating losses to two conference bottom feeders that are hurting their resume and place in the standings significantly.  I am not optimistic any more.

This regional ranking stuff is good stuff!  Thanks.

3 of your last 4 at home.  Looks like your game at E Conn on the 15th is for all the marbles.  I wish my BENGALS were in 2nd place right now!

The SUNYAC Player of the Week is Frankie Kelly from Oneonta State. Not only has Frankie eclipsed the 500 assist mark for his career. He is rapidly approaching the 1000 point mark also, as he just needs 27 points to reach that magic number. The SUNYAC write up below doesn't mention that he scored the 18 points and 14 assists on Friday against Buffalo State in a game Oneonta won 103-85. On Saturday they beat Fredonia 89-74. Congratulations to Frankie.

Frankie Kelly, MBB, AOW, Oneonta

Feb 06, 2017
(graduate student  guard  Brewster, NY)

Kelly recorded back-to-back double-doubles this past weekend in a pair of home SUNYAC wins. This past Friday he scored 18 points and dished out a career high 14 assists. Against Fredonia the next day, he scored 10 points while recording 12 assists. With his 26 assists over the two games, Kelly now has 507 career assists, which makes him only the second player in program history to eclipse the mark, the first in nearly 40 years. Kelly is currently third on the team in scoring averaging 10.6 points while leading the team and the SUNYAC in assists with 156.

February 7th    One game on tap tonight in a non-conference matchup.

Potsdam State   at  SUNY-Canton  7:00 PM

The Bears travel to Canton to take on Coach Bechtel's former team in a game that will feature the players he now coaches against the players he recruited for the Kangaroos. The Bears would sure like to win this one for their coach but I'm afraid the more seasoned Kangaroos will be too much for the young Potsdam team to handle. The oddsmakers have made Canton a 12 point favorite in this one. That sounds about right. The Roos win this one by an 84-74 final score.
