It's Hump day and still no word on who is coaching the Plattsburgh Cardinals.
If Chris Manning is their guy they should have announced it already.
Why do they always think someone from the outside is better than someone they already have.
I'm starting to think the people in charge can't make a decision.
Things that make you go HUMMMMMMM.

Or maybe the NY public employment system makes this an excruciating long, but ironcladly legislated process?

That isn't the problem, Ryan. There are other factors holding up this decision, which I'm not at liberty to discuss.

Head Coach position for school was just reposted yesterday on HigherEd jobs. ???

All-Time

Wow
Has that ever happened before???
It better be a Big name hire after all this.

Its not a good look (IMHO) for the program!

I still think they are waiting for the Magicman to reconsider their offer.
There is nobody more qualified than him.
Come on Magicman, I will send you a new Bright Red warm-up suit and a Beautiful pair of Chuck Taylor Black high top converse.
Please, Please, Please take the job!!!!  ;D

All Time, from the sound of things, it may be a while before the Cards have a coach. Magic can explain!  Not Pretty!!

All-Time

Certainly not pretty!!!!

I actually think the Magicman is going to become an Oneonta Red Dragon Fan.
I know his heart is with the Potsdam Bears but he is a Big fan of Coach Conover.
We all know How good he will look in that Red warm-up suit I bought him.
I'm just going to change the logo on the back to a BIG RED DRAGON and get rid of that measly little Cardinal that was on it.

Lets GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Lol  You may be closer to right than you think. My magic guy aint too happy with the current events. I don't imagine Coach Curle is either (Manning took a D2 job in Vermont)!Don't want to speak out of turn but after Plattsburgh passed on making Curle AD last year ( you see how well that worked out for the Cards). And now manning is gone too, it aint looking good for the cards!!

Manning took a D2 job in Vermont.

Chris Manning is now the Assistant Coach for Division II St. Michael's Men's Basketball team. Their 2019-20 roster has been posted.

That's not the only school that wanted to hire him either. Sadly, his alma mater, where he was All-Conference in multiple years and went to the NCAA tournament several times as a player and several more times as an assistant to retired Coach Tom Curle, didn't think he was ready for a head coaching position.  ???  :o  >:(  I know one thing.... Coach Curle sure thought he was ready to lead the Cardinals and is extremely disappointed that Chris is not following in his footsteps at Plattsburgh.

I'm also quite disappointed that Chris wasn't given the chance to coach the Cardinals. It's a double dose for me because I lost my favorite coach when Coach Curle took the AD job at William Peace University and now the guy I thought would be the coach and should be, was not hired. I'm not sure how much time I'll invest into SUNYAC basketball this season.

All-Time

This is breaking news about the Magicman.
For anyone who has followed the SUNYAC over the years, can't wait to go on the boards to read the Magicman's analysis on the games.
This man is a Legend.
For him to say he doesn't know how much time he will invest in the SUNYAC this season is Breaking News.
This guy knows more about basketball than anyone I have ever spoken to.

Plattsburgh's first mistake was not hiring Coach Curle when he applied for the Athletic Director's job a few years ago.
This man is a class act and a proven winner, He put Plattsburgh on the map as one of the best D3 basketball programs in the country.
For them to not hire him as the Athletic Director is mind boggling.
What the heck were they thinking about????

Now they are in a position where they don't know what to do.
Things that make you go HUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

Someone must have hacked into Dave McHugh's D3hoops identity, because this is fake news. If D-Mac had taken the job, there would have been a big story on the front page of D3hoops.com. I checked the front page and there was no "breaking news".
