Ewing, NJ Regional has been rained out-- Randolph-Macon advances to the superregionals on Friday via NCAA rainout criteria.

I guess today is the drop dead date for regionals to be completed.  Seems like one more day would not hurt.

Caz Bombers

Williams walks off Cortland in the bottom of the 9th. Tough way for longtime C-State coach Julie Lenhart to go out.

Ephs-Bombers super regional; my guess is in Williamstown if they want, but then again I don't know why they didn't host this weekend too.

Final in 9 innings--

Williams 9, Cortland 8

Williams wins the Cortland Regional and will play Ithaca in the Super Regionals on Friday.

In the old system before super regionals started in 2014, Monday was the drop dead date for the 7 and 8 team regionals to be completed as well.

It is my understanding that the higher seed is supposed to host if they want to.  But I think NCAA can override that if they wish.

CNU should host
Not sure between Williams and Ithaca as they are both #1.
Eastern Conn. is a 10 seed so I don't think they should host over the Rowan/MIT winner.

Game still tied at 6-6 between MIT and Rowan going into the 11th inning.

The handbook does not have a definitive answer as to what would happen if rain or darkness halts MIT/Rowan before a winner is determined, but it would seem to me that if the game ends as a tie, the stats would be recorded and MIT would advance as the higher seed.

Just found the game online.  Headed to the 13th tied at 6.

onwards to the 14th. Rowan and MIT have played the equivalent of a tripleheader today.

The rain has started to move into the Boston area and it's not going to stop. They might have one or two more innings that they can conceivably get in before it's too much. Somebody score please!!
