#5 Castleton 0  #4 UMass-Dartmouth 0 after 1 inning.-- Game 1

Winner plays #1 S. Maine in game 2, loser plays loser of game 2 in an elimination game later today.

Update-- top of 3rd 2 out, Castleton hit back to back solo home runs to take a 2-0 lead over UMass-Dartmouth.

2:10 PM Eastern update-- Castleton has tacked on an insurance run to make it 3-0 in the top of the 7th with 1 out.  Castleton would play #1 S. Maine at 3:30 PM Eastern if this result holds.

2:15 PM Eastern-- Castleton tacked on another insurance run to make it 4-0 after 6 1/2 innings.  UMass-Dartmouth down to their final 3 outs in the home half of the 7th.

NEAC Semifinal series #2 (Best of three) is underway in Williamsport, PA

#3 Penn State Abington 0, #2 Penn College coming up to bat after 1/2 inning in Game 1.

Winner of this series hosts #4 Penn State Harrisburg in the NEAC Championship series later this week.

Update-- Penn College scores 2 in the bottom of the first to lead, 2-0, after 1 inning.

1:43 PM update-- Penn College scored another 2 in the bottom of the second to lead 4-0 after 2 innings.

2:12 PM Eastern update-- In the top of the 4th, Penn State Abington scored 2 runs and 2 hits with 1 LOB.  No Penn College errors.  Penn College still leads 4-2 in the bottom of the 4th with 1 out.

2:26 PM Eastern update-- Penn College scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 4th.  The Wildcats now lead the Abington Lions, 6-2, after 4 1/2 innings in Game 1 of this Best of 3 series.

2:48 PM Eastern update-- Final in game 1-- #2 Penn College 6, #3 Penn State Abington 2.

Penn College takes a 1-0 lead in the series with Penn State Abington.

Update-- #3 Alfred 2, #2 Sage 0  after 1 inning.

Update-- after 2 innings, Alfred leads Sage, 5-0.  The Saxons already have 10 hits on the day.

Update-- a homer in the top of the third gives Alfred a 6-0 lead top 3rd 2 out.

Update-- top of fourth-- Alfred has the bases loaded with nobody out.  Alfred has just gotten the 7th run in on a walk to make it 7-0.

2:23 PM Eastern update-- Alfred now leads it 9-0 after 3 1/2 innings.  Sage needs to score some runs or this game will end in 5 innings on the 8 run rule.

2:36 PM Eastern update-- Another home run in the top of the 5th makes it now Alfred 10, Sage 0 after 4 1/2 innings.

2:45 PM Eastern-- Final Alfred 10, Sage 0 in 5 innings on the 8 run rule as the Alfred pitcher struck out the Sage side to close out the game in the 5th.

#3 Alfred will play Thursday at noon Eastern vs #1 St. John Fisher while #2 Sage plays #5 Utica in an elimination game today with first pitch at approx 4 PM Eastern.

Penn College leads Game 2, 2-0, after 1 inning.  If Penn College wins this game, they will host the NEAC Championship series vs #4 Penn State Harrisburg.  If Penn State Abington comes from behind to win this one, then there will be a winner take all game tomorrow.

4:20 PM Eastern update-- In the bottom of the 4th, S. Maine's Ashley Tinsman hits a home run to tie the game at 1-1.

After 4 innings; #5 Castleton 1, #1 S. Maine 1.

Bottom of the 6th inning with 1 out-- K.Nelson of S. Maine has just hit an inside-the-park home run!

S. Maine takes the lead, 2-1.

S. Maine advances to play on Thursday and will need just one more win to advance to the Little East Championship Series.
