Non conference tournament action today=

Emory swept the doubleheader vs Berry, 3-2 in Game 1, and 4-1 in Game 2.

Emory finishes the 2021 season at 9-2.  Absent a waiver from the Championships Committee, the Eagles cannot be considered for a Pool B or Pool C selection-- minimum number of games needed to be played this year is 12 to be considered for an at large selection.

The Eastern Connecticut Warriors are hoping to get back into the 2021 Div-III Softball College World Series after the Covid 19 cancelled ECSU's 2020 season which would have brought back just about all of the 2019 roster that came in 3rd in the 2019 National Championship!  Coach Pepin has brought together a combination of D-I transfers and young players from the 2019 roster to be very competitive in this years 2020 LEC Conference.  The University of Southern Maine has risen to become a excellent team this year and will compete for the LEC championship.  Looking forward to the NCAA regional and National Tournaments!!

Coming up at noon Eastern--

1.)  One AQ will definitely be awarded at the conclusion of this one-- it is the winner take all game of the MASCAC Championship Series between Framingham State and Bridgewater State. (Series tied at 1-1).

2.)  In the Empire 8, Alfred and St. John Fisher go at it, with Alfred needing 1 win for the AQ while St. John Fisher needs 2.  In the first game today, Alfred is the designated home team for scoring purposes.

The other decisive games in the early afternoon window so far.

1 PM Eastern-- Alma v Calvin (MIAA Game 3, series tied at 1-1).
2 PM Eastern-- Ithaca v Rochester (Liberty League Championship Game-- single elimination)

Cortland leads the series 1 game to 0 and needs just 1 more win for the AQ.

MASCAC Game 3-- Top 4th 2 out  Bridgewater State has just hit a 3 run homer to take the lead over Framingham State 5-3.  Framingham State has called to the bullpen for a pitching change.

It is now Bridgewater State 5, Framingham State 3 after 3 1/2 innings.

NEWMAC Game 1:  Babson scored a run in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead over Springfield, 1-0, after 4 innings.
