My sister went to school with Mag Dargon.  I think her senior year in high school she like 10 no hitters including 3 in a 4 game stretch.  Western is off to a 3-1 start down in Florida so far, only loss to Luther who's ranked #4 in the nation.  Mag Dargon is 2-0 so far, she'll definatly carry the staff this year.

ECSU now 6-0, with Molly Rathbun dominating so far!!!.

Rathbun perfect game spoiled

For the second consecutive year in Clermont, Bowdoin  (4-5) leftfielder Caroline Dewar broke up Rathbun's bid for a perfect game by legging out an infield single to Eastern third baseman Arielle Cooper (Mystic) with one out in the seventh inning.

Western 4-2.  Losses to #4 Luther (4-0) and Williams in the final inning (3-2).  They have 2 more days in Florida before comming back to Danbury.

Here's the latest NFCA D3 Top 25 Poll:

Biggest upward mover? UT-Tyler,

here's why:

(Before Louisiana College got a split with the Patriots yesterday, the Patriots had won 16 games in a row per UT-Tyler site).

I see the NFCA has recognized Central's Kiley Lythberg as player of the week for March 15-22. Congrats to her for her fine performance for the week which includes a 4-0 record with a .84 ERA while giving up just 3 runs and 12 hits with 23 strikeouts in 25 innings.

Another pitcher who had a pretty good week is Messiah junior Jessica Rhoads. So far this year she is 6-0 with an ERA of 0.00 having given up 1 hit and 0 runs so far in 29.2 innings with 57 strikeouts including a complete game no-hitter against NFCA #13 Wisconsin-Whitewater and a perfect game against Albright. Past history from the last 2 years would indicate that there is no reason to expect the NFCA will give her the recognition she deserves so I will post updates from time to time to keep you informed.
