Regional updates:

Eau Claire is over as Luther beat St. Thomas 4-3 to advance to next weekend
Ithaca: Todays game postponed till tomorrow.  Ithaca vs. Kueka at 10:00 am, winner of that vs. messiah at 12, if Messiah loses then they play again for the title at 2.
Pella: Whitewater and central are playing at pella high school right now.  Winner of that gets Coe at 10:00 am tomorrow, winner of that gets Linfield at 12, then if Linfield loses they play again at 2 for the title
Cortland: Piedmont leads Moravian 6-1 end of 5th which will resume at 10:00 am, winner gets Cortland around 11:15, if Cortland loses they'll play again for the championship at 1:45
Adrian: DePauw leads Hiram 11-9; game will resume at 10:00.  if DePauw wins they win the regional, if they lose they'll play again around 11:00 am for the championship.
Tyler: Texas-Tyler wins the regional with an 8-7 win over Louisiana College.
Salisbury: region is also over as Christopher Newport pounds Salisbury 19-3 (final in 6 innings)
Providence: RIC gets 3 runs in the 7th to force a decisive second game to win 3-1; they'll play at 10:00 am for the championship.

Providence regional final.  Same pithing matchup from yesterday as it will be Molly Rathburn for Eastern against Amanda Berard for RIC.
Eastern 0 RIC 0 top 1st.
Eastern 1 RIC 0 bottom 2nd.  Stephanie Johnson single scores Kelly Peterson.
Eastern 2 RIC 0 top 5.  Priscilla Alicea ground out scores Johnson.
Eastern 4 RIC 0 top 6.  Johnson single scores Peterson and Arielle Cooper.
Eastern 4 RIC 1 top 7.  Kayla Jandreau groundout scores Stacy Pokora who had tripled.
Eastern 4 RIC 1 final.  Eastern is the 4th team to move on.  They will be very tough to beat twice.

championship updates:
Hiram beats DePauw 15-12 (in 9 innings) to set them up to play at 11:30 for the championship
Ithaca & Cortland suspended until 1:00 PM and Cenral eliminated Whitewater in 8 innings last night 5-2
Providence just ended as eastern beats RIC 4-1.

Adrian is over as DePauw shuts out Hiram in game 2 7-0 to advance.  To recap:
Eau Calire winner: Luther
Providence: Eastern Connecticut
Salisbury: Christopher Newport
Adrian: DePauw
Tyler: Texas Tyler

Central eliminates Coe with a 7-3 so the Pella regional final is Central vs. Linfield; Central has to win twice to advance.  Ithaca and Cortland are still delayed by rain, Cortlanf scheduled to resume at 1:30, not sure about Ithaca.
Piedmont eliminates Moravian 7-1; Piedmont vs. Cortland in the Cortland final, Piedmont has to win twice to advance, Linfield up 11-0 on Central top 5 they look to be advancing, Keuka and Ithaca 1-1 top 7.
Linfield wins 12-0 to win the Pella regional, both New York regions are delayed again, both with tie game (Ithaca Keuka 1-1 in the 7th, Cortland Piedmont 0-0 in the first).

Keuka ousts Ithaca 2-1, sets up Messiah vs. Keuka in the Ithaca final; Keuka has to win twice to advance.
Cortland up 8-0 in the 5th on Piedmont, looks like they'll be the 7th team advancing to the weekend.

Still like the Warriors chances in Salem.  I could be wrong, but I think Molly Rathburn is the only pitcher left thats thrown a no hitter in this tournament and she has two on her record so far.  Luckily East Conn and Linfield are on opposite sides, and luckily eastern has the last game of the day Friday as well as I'll be visiting my sister Thursday and Friday, but should be back in time for the game.  My updated pick is Eastern over Luther in the championship (eastern beats Linfield in the winners bracket, Luther beats Linfield to advance to play Eastern.

Molly Rathbun will have to be very sharp against Linfield, as they have a tremendous offensive attack!!!
