NESCAC title game between Williams and Tufts, the #1 and #2 teams in New E England is now underway at 9:50 AM Eastern.  Watch the game streaming live on NSN.

If the game cannot be completed, Williams seems to have the advantage on the fifth tiebreaker, which is average number of runs scored against a Pooll common opponents (Amherst, Hamilton, Bates, and Middlebury).Poo

Update-- bottom of first-- Tufts already up 2-0 over Williams with 1 out.  Tufts is home team.

End of 1st-- Tufts 3, Williams 0

Williams scores 1 run on 2 hits in the top of the 3rd to make it Tufts 3, Williams 1 after 2 1/2 innings.

After 6 innings, Tufts still up 3-1.  Tufts is 3 outs away from the NESCAC AQ.

In the 7th-- Tufts now up 3-2.  Williams has tying run on 2nd with nobody out.

In the Northeast Region, Cortland defeated Geneseo 2-0 to win the SUNYAC AQ.

Alfred has sent the Empire 8 to a deciding game as the Saxons have beaten St John Fisher, 13-8, in the first game.

Caz Bombers

I certainly hope Geneseo gets a C bid. Our region hasn't had one in a couple years. Well, not last year anyway.

Ithaca and Cortland actually didn't get to play in the regular season due to weather, so I expect a regionals matchup.

I just got back from lunch...

MIAC Final-- St Thomas def Hamline, 1-0, in 11 innings to win the AQ.

CCC Final-- Endicott def Univ of New England, 10-0, in 5 innings

Endicott pitcher Maggie Oram pitched a perfect 5 inning game.

Caz Bombers

Otterbein beat Ohio Northern to win the OAC championship.

I believe the last league left to conclude, naturally, is the SCIAC out in sunny Pacific Time. Whittier is up 4-1 on Pomona-Pitzer in the 5th, if this holds they will play again winner-take-all.

The SCIAC has a Roku channel.  I am watching the finals now on the streaming TV.

Claremont Mudd Scripps came into the week #4 in the West, but their loss to Whittier earlier today puts the Athenas on the bubble.

Final-- Whittier def Pomona-Pitzer, 5-3, to force a deciding game for the final AQ of the 2019 NCAA D3 softball tournament.  Game starts at approx 3 PM Pacific/6 PM Eastern.
