Here's a wild box score: http://www.edgewoodcollegeeagles.com/custompages/Statistics/softball/2010/sb10-06.htm

Yeah, you're so right on that one. Marian's been known more for its' pitching than its offense-with Edgewood its' the other way around.

Edgewood had used all 3 of its pitchers in the DH the previous day,--per Eagles site  -- don't know what Marian's situation was-otherwise it's rare to have both starters go 12 innings in that kind of slugfest.

The international tiebreaker rule also had a lot to do with the number of runs scored after the seventh.

Thought someone would have ventured a take on TCNJ vaulting all the way to #8 after not even being in the previous poll.

Last week TCNJ split with then #4 Messiah as the teams traded 2-1 wins – then swept #6 Cortland 1-0, 3-1. That was the first time in two years that Cortland was swept in a doubleheader.

Beat Montclair yesterday 1-0, 5-0.

Other 4/3 Top 25 finals:

# 3 ETBU sweeps # 2 UT-Tyler 3-1, 5-3 (Tigers' Henderson goes the distance for the win in the opener-then ETBU uses a 6th inning 4-spot to come from behind for the sweep-UT-Tyler stats)

#19 Salisbury 7, York-PA 1 (Game 2 final) (Seagulls' Brenneman belted a 2-run HR in 5th-Brittingham gets the win-Salisbury PBP acct)

#24 Coe splits with Central-IA  0-3, 4-1 (Central was able to coax several walks from Kohawk pitcher Simon early in the opener-from the brief look-in this poster took off Coe's site)

Lewis & Clark-Linfield was rained out-per Linfield site.

Wanted to make sure you noted that Central is ranked #7. That's a big split for a young Kohawk squad.

4/7 Top 25 finals:

#5 Ohio Northern sweeps Defiance, 7-4, 6-5 (Lady Polar Bears' Hurd induces Defiance's Faling to line out to 3rd for the last out with the bases loaded in the nightcap, per ONU stats).

Expected Mississippi College to slip a little anyway, (higher ranked ASC teams appear to have had the Choctaws' number thus far)

This week, its' Transy's turn to vault into the NFCA Top 25-per 4/7 poll
