How big an upset is this!!!!!  No1 team in the country for most of year is out :o

WLCALUM83

Yeah, ETBU pitching held Louisiana College in check and the Tiger D made 2 great plays late (a running catch in the outfield and -with one out in the 7th- a Wildcat player belted a potential extra base hit--only to be thrown out at 2nd--

tough luck for UWW. hosting a regional tounament but didn't get an at-large bid. the host team will have to be spectators. finishing 3rd in your conference with 6 loses and 10 wins might do that.

Go 'Cats!  Linfield is playing some great softball right now!

Not a huge one. For a lot of the year LC, UT-Tyler and ETBU were ranked in the top five in the country. They all play in the same division of the ASC. At one point they were 1-2-3.

Four of the 7 teams in the ASC-East made the playoffs.

As far as softball goes, the ASC is kinda like the LIttle East Conference of "women's baseball" aka softball.   ;)
