What ever happened to Molly Rathbun of Eastern Conn.?  She didn't pitch today.  I understood she was their main pitcher.
Any one know?

Luther and Linfield had a fine game today...Linfield by 4-3.  Home runs scored everything  by both teams.  I still think Luther will go a ways in this tournament.

ETBU comes from behind to knock off Moravian, 8-4. Tigers' Henderson keeps Moravian in check late-getting some K's in key situations.

As for Saturday's games, I'll take:

Luther over Ithaca by 1-3, E Conn over Moravian IF Rathbun is pitching, Linfield over DePauw (although I am a DePauw alum and would like to think DePauw will win, Linfield just has WAY too much firepower for the Tigers to keep up with), and ETBU over Christopher Newport.

Top bracket:  ETBU/Linfield  (DePauw held the Oregon squad to 2 runs yesterday-interesting to see if the Texas squad can do the same)

Elimination games:

Winners of those 2 games then meet:

From the ASC Baseball board...

Talk about loaded in softball. The East division sent 4 teams to the 6 team regional...one of which didnt even make the conference tourney.

ETBU who finished 3rd in the regular season in the ASC East wins the National championship without a loss in the national championship bracket. I think whoever came out of that regional was going to win the whole thing.

Ralph...maybe we can call that regional the "Bracket of death"....haha

The ASC-East must be the toughest division/conference in D-III...the proverbial "bracket of death" was the Louisiana College Softball Regional.

As dp643 mentioned, one ASC team earned a Pool C bid and yet finished fourth in the ASC-East.  The ASC tourney only takes the Top 3 from each division.
