C2C:
5/5:  2 Salisbury/3 Mary Washington; 1 CNU/Game 1 winner 5/6-7 TBD
     Salisbury 6, Mary Washington 2;  CNU/Salisbury  Salisbury wins 5-0.
(IMHO, it'd be a shock if both CNU and Salisbury do not get in (one as an at-large).

Oops. You got that backwards. CNU won 5-0

Hardin Simmons vs. #1 Belhaven later today.

Next up #3 UMHB vs. #2 ETBU

CNU85

CNU wins C2C with 10-4 win vs 2nd ranked Salisbury.

I expect Salisbury will get an at-large bid and do some damage in the post season.

Salisbury is a lock for an at-large bid.  The danger you have is will the NCAA put them in the same regional as CNU.  Logic tells you no way but then the NCAA, at the D3 level, does not use logic.

they are both #1 ranked teams in their regions; there are 10 evaluation regions and 16 host sites for the first weekend; meaning even if they treated every region like they were exactly the same strength-wise (of course they are not), all 10 #1s and 6 of the 10 #2s would be expected to play at home. Surely even the D3 selcomm is not so derelict as to not put both schools as host sites.

justafan12

I TOTALLY agree that they should both host BUT when the NCAA comes to spending money at the D3 level, well they don't like to.  If they can save a buck or two on travel costs they will.

Ehhh. CNU has some ODAC, USA South and oh let's say a CSAC team they will host. Salisbury can get an NJAC, a MACC/MACF and oh let's say Atlantic East champ.

I think it's much harder to screw up and create Group of Death and Baby Town Frolic Regional type setups under the regional/super regional format than it was in the old 6 and 8 team regional days.

FYI, to save space, I've been posting updates on the previous page to this one. There have been a ton of east region games washed out, and conference tourneys going single elimination.
