Union's pass defense allows a big play, 70 yd TD pass, 7-7.

Just like that Union qb Cioffi throws a pick 6.  WNEU 14-Union 7. Here we go again.

Some positives from Union today.  They controlled much of the 1st half, rushing for 93 yds. But two  big plays puts them down 14-7. Oh yeah, more bad news for Union, qb Cioffi out of the game, possibly injured on pick 6. He was replaced by freshman Nick Casione.

Two thing Dlip is happy with Bill regardless of the outcome. First and foremost Dlip LOVES the move on D moving Thomas Hayes up to the DE/OLB position to attempt to put pressure on the QB...finally! It also seems as if the DB's are playing up on these talented receivers and making them earn their catches a little more than in the past. Dlip will take giving up a big play as opposed to getting nickel and dimed all day with no answer and an exhausted D.

Dlip will also welcome the move at QB if indeed that is the case. Dlip really likes Cioffi but feels that he has been playing frustrated and lacking confidence. As a sophomore and considering the state of the team there is no real urgency to push him. Give Cascione a chance and let Cioffi relax a bit and refocus.

All in all Dlip is pleased thus far in comparison to last week. We shall see how the 2nd half shakes out.

Let's go U!

2nd half: After a missed Union FG attempt, WNEU easily takes it right down the field to score, 21-7.

Union hits a play to WR Kyle Reynolds but he fumbles. WNEU takes it right down the field again, 28-7. Cioffi back in the game for Union.

Dlip would stay with Casione just because...

Dutchmen D make a play. Dlip would at least smile if the U can put it in here. 1st and 10 from WNEU 12.

TD Nick Casione the Sacred Heart transfer. Gotta go with him for now. Kid can throw and is mobile. Let these three QB's battle in practice for the job and get some intensity and focus there. Our D is what it is but if we can get a spark on the O we may be able to win a couple. Who knows. Kids are playing hard though. Congrats to WNEU on the W.

dlip is saying this early just to hopefully jinx it
He'll try anything 😀

The Larries are surprised as Union knifes through that "great" defense. Union up 7-0. I told you this could be interesting!

Rochester and Springfield game is pretty sloppy as Rochester is winning off a muffed pitch and fumble return. Don't see either one of these teams being too scary as Springfield is a "cloud of dust" offense with Rochester putting 8 in the box and Rochester QB has potential but has  been inconsistent

The Larries come right back on a very impressive drive to tie the game 7-7. The level of play in this game is much better than Rochester-Springfield.
