did St. Lawrence hire Ben McAdoo over the winter or something? Good grief.

I don't often watch LL games, but I did catch the end of this one...wow is all I can say.   If I was a player, I'd be seriously annoyed right now...

As a Giant fan, reading this post was  very emotional for me, I now need a safe space :-\

Headed to the Hobart game today against some SUNY college outside of Rochester......they beat us last year and only got 600 yards of offense.....hoping to keep them under 600 this year and come away with a  win, somehow I think the key will be turnovers and lots of them, perhaps a  99 yard fumble return again from Captain Prince, maybe two  ;D
Good luck to the rest of the LL Today!

Best of luck to the Pumpkinheads Bartman! dlip is hoping for a big W from them today. Let's hope for a competitive injury free game. Go Bart!

I'll be at Frank Bailey watching the Union Dutchmen get some revenge over the Husson Eagles. As dlip points out (I'll be sitting next to dlip and dlip dad, see you there pal) Union goes as their O-line goes. I'm not sure who starts on the O-line this season as Union has inexplicably not published it's accustomed "Game Notes" going instead with a "Game Preview" which divulges very little.  Last year the O-line had only one senior with three freshmen and a soph starting, but one of them Billy Grosse is not on the roster? So there's a few holes to fill.  As an old lineman that will be the first thing I look for. The defense should be strong but Union has only scored one TD in each of coach Behrman's last two openers. They'll need more points to beat Husson... Let's say 17-13 Union.

This is going to be a huge restructuring year.  Just hope we can keep a 20+ y winning season streak going and show unending fight and character this year.   Too many losses firm transfer/onjury/graduation to compete w the top 1 - 15 teams (I still think they have the talents to beat a 22ish ranked team)

Wow, we were way off on Brockport comfortably beating Hobart...but who thought we'd be underselling B-Port. As I said, I'd rather have played Hobart in Week 1 than Week 8, but ugh.

Ithaca had a rough start against St. Vincent, getting a pick returned to the 4 on the opening drive and subsequently falling behind 7-0. But the Bombers have scored 38 straight, and have basically done as expected.

Final from Schenectady. Union 30 Husson 7. A very impressive debut by Union QB Will Bellamy and his receivers. Defense solid as expected.

Indeed, Bellamy is a legit gunslinger.  370 yards and 3 TD in a sophomore debut hopefully marks good things to come.  The fresh WR Andre Ross Jr. is going be to something. (102 yards on two grabs with a TD.  And nearly had two other 50+ yard passes that we're just underthrown.)

PA-
I think this a fair assessment at this point. Next week will be a real test as to where the team really is. A loss or a close game(within 3 points) will be a bad sign, a strong 21 point dominating win and I think we are in good shape going forward. Morrisville had a 300+ passing game today, so if we can hold them to 150 or fewer passing yards , I will breath much easier. I think we ran into a buzzsaw today that will be leaving a lot of sawdust every Saturday all the way to the final four again. Brockport fans should  be thrilled this year.

Ithaca running  a similair no huddle check with me offense. Pretty good success. Not much of a  run game other than QB option. Nabi already taking a  lot of hits. Not a big guy, have to see how that develops.

Can already tell IC is a superior opponent than Hobart. Things will not be as easy, maybe even hard

Ithaca's defense is impressive.  I saw it last year as well.  The DC does an amazing job and it's almost like they have everything covered that any offense is throwing at them.  The grass certainly helps slowing down Brockport and it is early, but IC is making some big plays/tackles/hits on defense.

IC's offense on the other hand still looks shaky and new.

As we speak IC returns a punt back inside Brockport's 20 early in the 2nd.

Hobart 38-7 at half....slightly motivated since last week.

Wow, Bartman. So much for Morrisville. Nice bounceback by Hobart. Pride is a good thing.
