Halftime from Buff St....Union 21-7.  Much credit to the Buff St offense. They've moved the ball well with 166 yds  and 12 1st downs. They had a lot of time of possession keeping Bellamy,Ross and company on the sidelines.Their D is unable to slow down the Union attack however. Union messed up a 3 minute possession late with some poor clock management and a missed field goal. The Bengals didn't stop them. They stopped themselves.     

My concerns as a Union fan. First and utmost...Irabor... Second, the defense is not sharp with Buff St controlling the line of scrimmage for the most part... Third, Bellamy is not at his best, missing some open throws. With that said the Dutchman are firmly in control of this game.

Ice says Irabor is ok. He was in a boot yesterday during practice just taking it easy. IB says they are just letting that ankle rest. He should be fine for next week...

Ithaca now leading Rochester 49-0 midway through the 3rd quarter.

Since the last update, there was a pick 6, a Germinerio TD pass to a 4th difference receiver in Cooney, then another TD pass to Cooney, and then a Nabi run for a touchdown.

Ithaca at 352 yards passing, 5 passing touchdowns and a 6th run in by the QB on a keeper.

No scoring in the 3rd quarter, still 21-7. Union holding Ross Jr. out this half. Who knew Buff St. had a "turnover gong"? Ferreira fumbled and Bellamy threw an ugly pick.

Ice Bear says SLU beating RPI 21-0 in the 2nd quarter up in Canton. SLU QB is just nasty with a couple athletic "Edelman" type receivers. So impressed with SLU.

Bizarre play from Buff St. QB Ciezki looks like he's going to be sacked but somehow breaks free hits a RB who breaks a bunch of tackles and then fumbles the ball. It's scooped up by an offensive lineman who takes it in for a TD. 

These are the kind of things that happen in an upset.

Classic trap game playing out in Buffalo, lead cut to 21-14 on a crazy almost sack turned long pass turned FB run in by an OL.  Union can't finish drives and Buff St. QB giving Union's defense fits with his escapability.

Final 28-14...A very game and determined Buff St team gave the Dutchmen ALL they could handle. QB Zak Ciezki was excellent and the Bengal skill position players especially Martin Bailey were great on YAC. I'm glad that ones over. i'm not sure why Buff St has only one win; they seem better...OR Union is truly not as good as their record indicates.
