Union loses 17-7.......score is not at all indicative of the Dutchmen's lackluster performance.  Could have been much worse.

RPI runs blocked FG attempt to Utica 2, 9.2 sec

Final: RPI 17
       Utica 14

RPI blocked UticA FG attempt, holder(?) tried to pass(?), was intercepted, RPI returned INT to UticA 2, where some orange helmet threw a punch.

2 blocked kicks in last 4 min?

The kick was blocked, Utica recovered and tried to run a fire play but it was picked off by RPI and ran all the way down the the 2 yard line... my $7 was now just worth it to see that.

Don't want to leave out the O-line, either.

It's funny how football works out. Last week the Union Dutchmen were on top of the world and today, after a dismal dismal performance and some injuries, Union must feel awful as a result of their poor performance. The Mules honestly should have/could have won by more. Today was a very very poor day for the Dutchmen all around. Let's hope these guys can refocus, have a very hard, effective week of practice, and come back strong next week. Aside from this dlip does not know what else to say. dlip is afraid if he says anymore he will regret it. Let's take a night, reflect and maybe come back tomorrow with some positives for the future. **** today hurts! By the way congrats to Bart for bouncing back and again, ****in RPI pulls it out. They do this **** every year. Play like **** early and then bring it on when it counts. No doubt in dlips mind this Engineer team will continue to grow and develop, especially with the play of their QB.

RPI and Cortland state are now the only teams with a legitimate shot at the #1 seed in the east.  Else, Here comes MUC again.

Yeah, Wilkes still has a shot.  I am not too confident about Springfield.  But who knows -- They are a team that is unique and could have a remarkable season.

Also, Mount Union defeated Ohio Northern 30-10.  There is no longer any reason to play football this year  :P ::)

I like that, although I'm guessing that neither of our English teachers would.

Springfield still runs the wishbone, right?  How many high schools run that anymore?  In the 70s/early 80s, I'd have guessed ~30 - 40% of high schools ran the wishbone, or at least some form of triple option offense.  I have to figure a far lower percentage do so today.
