RPI and Cortland state are now the only teams with a legitimate shot at the #1 seed in the east.  Else, Here comes MUC again.

Don't forget Springfield yet...and Wilkes

Yeah, Wilkes still has a shot.  I am not too confident about Springfield.  But who knows -- They are a team that is unique and could have a remarkable season.

I like that, although I'm guessing that neither of our English teachers would.

Springfield still runs the wishbone, right?  How many high schools run that anymore?  In the 70s/early 80s, I'd have guessed ~30 - 40% of high schools ran the wishbone, or at least some form of triple option offense.  I have to figure a far lower percentage do so today.

No its not the wishbone but it is triple option.  Not many high school teams run the triple or veer option today as a base offense.

Mariner TD 7-0 over the Larries about 1 min into the 1st qtr after SLU turns the ball over on their first possession.

14-7 Saints with about 5 mins to play in the 1st half.  Eric Jones ripped off a very long TD run to put SLU on top.  And just added another to put the Saints up 21-7 3:36 to play.

Man, TGP was wrong on his ITH prediction last weekend!

Sidekick really on his game today - explained how Whoopie Tech's 14 yard punt to the RPI 25 was better than a touchback, which would have put RPI at the 20.

RPI scores on a 2 play drive.  Hermann runs for 14, Costa for 61, kick good.

RPI 7
WPI 0

SLU marches to the Bart 24 (including 5 yards on a def offsides) but the Statesmen D holds on a 1st and 5, a 44 yard FG attempt by Eppleman is good.

3-0 SU with 11:02 to play in the first.

That's a quality DIII kick.  I wonder if he played soccer in HS.

What kind of surface for today's game?

Vella rushing TD!  Uh oh.  Kulber down (Bart's starting RT - gets carted off the field).  Hopefully he's ok.  7-3 Hobart.

Surface is either field or artificial turf.

That's a quality kick for any division, not just D3.

3 play, 49 yard scoring drive.

That's a 50% increase in plays, for a 33% decrease in yardage, for the same number of points.
