9-6 Union over Western NE at the half.  Pretty even half off football, no one has the clear upper hand.  Union's been able to run the ball, especially out of the wild cat.  The Union D mostly kept the WNE offense in check, except for a short TD drive off a blocked punt deep in their own territory.  But WNE clearly has a lot of firepower and seems to have the potential to catch fire at any point.

Speaking of firepower, WNE gets the ball to start the 3Q, drives for a TD, Union throws a pick on its first offensive play of the half, WNE drives for another TD.  19-9 WNE over Union halfway through the 3rd.

Tough 2nd half for Union. Full credit goes to WNE and their offense. They certainly keep you guessing and make big plays when they need to. They had some drives where Union just could not slow them down. U defense was excellent in the first half but the adjustments made at half by UNE were too much.

The Dutchmen are certainly moving in the right direction and are not to be taken lightly. However it will take time and patience as this program works hard to find consistent success again. Dlip is as proud to be a Dutchmen fan today as he has ever been.

Again, full props to WNE for taking the game over the second Union kicked it off to begin the second half. Best of luck on the remainder of your season!

Forget about all that Dlip.  Should Union have won that game or shouldn't they have?

They expect us to pay for the Hobart / Union game then?

Hobart15

Very interesting game plan by union. Looks like they are playing eight offensive lineman on run downs. Giving Hobart all kinds of trouble. Hobart missing tackles close to the line of scrimmage. Second effort giving good gains to the Dutchman. Besides the one big pass Hobart offense not doing much. Should be an interesting second half as Hobart has scored a ton of points after halftime

Yet another excellent 1st half for Union against an excellent opponent! Dlip is very pleased. Dlip feels the U is forcing Hobart to play Union's game. It's going to be very very hard to keep these talented pumpkins at bay for much longer. Union must continue to stay disciplined on D and successfully run the ball on O. Hats off to the Dutchmen O line on their performance thus far. Dlip expects Bart to come out blazing in the second half. Hopefully U can get a few first downs to begin the half and put together a sustained drive.

Union playing spirited game forcing 2 fumbles and putting good pressure on Sweeney. Union Oline getting nice push. I hate the all Orange uniforms but I would hate losing more. Union has played much tougher than Ithaca last week. At the game now and Hobart is too sedate like they expected to win.....this Union team is winning 10-7 and if they keep disciplined and keep running the ball, hogging the clock they can win this game....lets see what adjustments are made by each coach for second half

Great drive by Bart for a TD. U blocks the extra point. 17-13 Union.

Bart starting to turn the tables here a bit. Pumpkins are tightening the D up and starting to make plays. Great return for Bart after Union punt. A

Sweeney makes a great play scrambling and Shed makes a nice tip toe catch for a TD. 19-17 Pumpkins. Have to give it Bart. Even when things are seemingly out of sync they are doing what they need to here in the 3rd. That's what great teams do.
