Ithaca leading Buffalo State 28-7 after 1 quarter.  Bombers opened the day with a successful onside kick and its been all engines running ever since: 2 passing and 1 rushing TD for Germinerio and an additional rushing TD by D'Haiti.

Union now up 44-12 with Irabor scoring a 3rd TD, a 4th was called back on a penalty so the Dutchmen settled for a FG.

The second one was baffling. 4th and 19 at your opponent 35, and rather than just give your offense a shot, you run a 1 yard pattern?

Yea the theory behind the "swinging gate" type formation, is that the kicker or punter counts the defenders on each side of the field.  If there is an unbalanced situation, you fake it.  Ithaca seemed to have enough numbers on all of the fakes, and plus, they were moving around which should confuse the punters count as well.  Long story short I think the punter made the wrong call on all there fake punts.  The third one I don't mind as much because it's kind of like Going for it on 4th

Final...Union 47-19. Rochester showed fight and all day and scored against the Union 2nd team. QB Derek Bufano showed considerable skills and RB Dean Manning runs hard behind a decent interior O-line.

Hard to say what final score will be now 41-20, but bart had a huge 3rd qtr and stopped trying at 38-7 w about 10:30 left in the 4th.  At that point RPI had 110 yards on 46 plays.  Then chucking it around against the deep backups I'd guess Marinopolous is above 200yds now and closer to 50% but they didn't do anything against the D when it mattered and worm against u ion either.

RPI is terrible.  How they were ranked and even sill getting votes a week or two later is crazy.  They'll be 5-4 w wins over Ave Maria, roch and buff st this year.  IC and Union will blast them.

Hobart and Ithaca exchange short drives, and Hobart has the ball back midfield.

Game really chippy right off the bat.  Hobart really doing a good job disguising defensive looks.  I think Ithaca needs to change the tempo call and go to two of them (faking snap count twice instead of once to determine Hobarts stunts/blitzes better)
