Damn. Stopped short on 4th and 9!  Valiant effort. Congrats to UNION!

Go BENGALS

Ice says GREAT EFFORT Bengalsrule by your Bengals. They came to play today and deserved better.

Ice Bear is so proud of his Dutchmen being 7-0. Ice looks forward to the upcoming week and the discussion that will go along with it. However Ice will say now, especially after today's defensive performance, IC is at least a 10 point favorite.

Final 28-14...A very game and determined Buff St team gave the Dutchmen ALL they could handle. QB Zak Ciezki was excellent and the Bengal skill position players especially Martin Bailey were great on YAC. I'm glad that ones over. i'm not sure why Buff St has only one win; they seem better...OR Union is truly not as good as their record indicates.

Ice says this with no disrespect to his beloved Garnet but he thinks this is the case.

Ice Bear believes this is a very good Union team, a special team, and one that Ice appreciates and respects. They are certainly a team worthy of a top 30 ranking IIBHO. With that said, IC is elite for this region and is rightfully a heavy favorite at Butterfield next week. Bombers have pretty much blown the door off all of their opponents. Impressive body of work thus far with impressive players.

Not surprised to see the Engineers get pasted 35-7 by SLU late in the 4Q. That is game team who is getting better every week and will be a real contender over the next few years.

BomberJeff

Union takes the first lead at Butterfield Stadium 7-0.  Bellamy found Ross in the end zone on a small fade for a 5 yard touchdown while Ross was being covered by usually WR Will Gladney.

Union put together a 13 play drive for 74 yards that took nearly 7 minutes.

BomberJeff

Andrew Vito breaks a tackle and goes 73 yards for a Bombers touchdown.  Ithaca makes the extra point despite being touched by the Union special teams.  7-7 with 5:45 still to go in the first.

Those are tough throws to make.  Wow.

BomberJeff

Union added a 38 yard field goal.  Germinerio gets picked off on a pass that the safety had covered all day.  Otherwise, the ball just keeps flipping around for not much.

Union leading 10-7 with 9 minutes remaining in the first half.

BomberJeff

Ithaca puts together its first long drive of the day, culminating in a Germinerio keeper from 3 yards out for the touchdown.  Bombers take the lead for the first time just before halftime.

Drive was 16 plays for 93 yards over almost 6 and a half minutes.  Ithaca leads 14-10 with 2:34 to go in the half.

Ice Bear

Ice is very impressed with his Dutch thus far. IC has a very long drive that results in a Germinerio TD. What a drive and what a short passing game. Joe G is just such a dominate player. Kid is awesome. Great game.

Ithaca however won't hold that lead into the halftime.  The Bombers defense commits two bad personal foul penalties, one off a big 34 yard reception, that sees Union quickly get into the 10, and Ike Irabor able to run it in 3 plays later.

Union up 17-14 with 55 seconds left in the half.

Jonny Utah

Ithaca has zero run game and Union daring them to run and Ithaca passing 95% of the time.  IC getting out coached early here

Jonny Utah

And Ithaca has the easier halftime adjustment.  They need to run the ball.  Not that complicated.  If they can't do it, they deserve whatever happens.  Can't rely on prayer catches every game.

This halftime dude on Ithaca TV is electric.

Great weather for football.
The streaming feed is working well, the picture crisp, decent camera work, the announcers not so much.
Entertaining half for the non-partisan.
