McM underclassmen who played Lone Star Conference D2 scholarship athletes in 2014 are now a year older.

How has that situation played out? When did the McMurry players stop getting athletic scholarships?

When they announced the return to D3 in January 2014:  "The school said it would continue to honor athletic aid at the same level now for two years as long as they are participating in their sport."   If that two years started in Fall 2014 then this would be the last year for any scholarship athletes that stuck with the program.

But as I understand it, there was considerable attrition in those players receiving a scholarship. I do not think that McMurry was offering the maximum 36 football scholarships either.
