Titan Q

Scots stop IWU on 4th & 5 from Monmouth 35.  Scots ball.

(IWU up 14-0 in 2nd Q)

Titan Q

Monmouth a very quick 3 and out...then shanked punt.

IWU ball @ Monmouth 39.

Titan Q

31-yard FG IWU

IWU 17
Monmouth 0

(About 7:00 to play in 2nd Q.)

Titan Q

Tanney sacked on 3rd & 8...Monmouth punts...IWU ball on own 16.

(IWU up 17-0, late in 2nd Q)

Titan Q

Gallik picked at IWU 30...life for the Scots (who get the ball to start the 3rd Q).

Titans letting them hang around to long. their o seems to be getting in a rhythm after the pick. And there it is

Titan Q

TD Monmouth

IWU 17
Monmouth 7

(late 2nd Q)

I like the way the Titans have committed to the run without Stinde.

Titan Q

Halftime...

IWU 17
Monmouth 7

A big turnover late in the half to help Monmouth get back in it, but IWU played very well in the 1st half.  The defense has been tremendous.

Monmouth gets the ball to start the 2nd half...they can really make this a ballgame with a TD drive.

Looks like NCC finally figured out Dubuque. they have put up 17 points in the final 5 minutes of the half to lead 24-7

starting to remind me of the Wabash game 2 years ago in Bloomington.

Titan Q

1st half stat that jumps out...

T.O.P. - IWU 19:44, Monmouth 10:16

So far IWU is really controlling the ball.

NCC leads 24-7 at the half. They are almost entirely forgoing the pass. Operating largely out of the wildcat
formation, the Cards are ramming the ball down Dubuque's throat, rushing for a 9.2 average.
Nick Dace's 41 yd field goal as time expired to end the half was huge.
We'll see what the 2nd half brings. I don't think NCC fans can breathe easy yet with Dubuque's high flying
pass offense and their ability to strike quickly with an entire half left.

*Biased for sure, but I think at least some of the success both NCC and IWU are having today, and will have
as the playoffs go forth can be attributed to the level of competition they face in CCIW conference play
throughout the season

*On another front, it was just announced that NCC just won yet another cross country national championship
up in Wisconsin. What new?  :)

NCC just looks SO much more physical than Dubuque.

To a position they just look better conditioned and more powerful. Simply inflicting their will on the Spartans

Titan Q

Long TD drive by Monmouth on opening drive of 2nd half.

New game!

IWU 17
Monmouth 14

(early 3rd Q)
