Coe gets 30 yards on an interesting, pseudo "option" fake punt.  Punter ran to the right looked like he was about to kick the ball, but they cutback against the grain when it was apparent Wheaton over pursued.  2 plays later Wheaton intercepts on a deflected pass.

Wheaton drives down quickly, but settles for a FG.  Leading now 24-7 with 4:22 until half.

Another 3 and out for Coe.

Wheaton drives 46 yards to the Coe 7.  Has a 7 yard rushing TD called back on a penalty with 41 seconds left in the half.  2 plays later Peltz to Norton for 12 yards, TD.

Mr. Ypsi

Anyone know what's happening with the IWU @ Franklin game?  Live Stats is still reporting it as halftime, but they reached halftime well over an hour ago!  (Long delay due to lightning, perhaps?)

Stepped out to go miniature golfing with kids.  Final in Iowa:  Wheaton over Coe 52-14

Lightning delay at Franklin

Elmhurst beats Loras 31-17

Mr. Ypsi

LOOOOONG halftime, thanks to lightning.  They finally resumed after more than three hours!  Each team score a FG in the 3rd; the Titans dodged a bullet early in the fourth, taking over on downs on their own 1-yard line.  Titans maintain a 31-24 lead, with about 12 minutes remaining.

Mr. Ypsi

It looked like IWU had gotten out of a field position jam, reaching the 27-yard line; then suddenly it looked like that hadn't, as Jack Warner was sacked for a 15-yard loss.  Then Brian Johnson booted the punt 49 yards, and during the 8-yard return, FC was called for an illegal block - end result, FC takes over on their own 36 (about 9 minutes remaining).

Mr. Ypsi

IWU gets a FG to go up 34-24, 4:35 left.

Mr. Ypsi

Titans take over on downs at their own 45; up ten and less than three minutes left, I think the victory cigar can be lit. ;D

With Franklin's 7th turnover of the day, now you can officially light that cigar
