Carroll wants to get off of the rollercoaster. A muffed handoff by Lakeland at the Muskies 30 becomes a turnover, and the Pioneers proceed to drive in for another score to go up 38-26.

31-23 Wheaton over NCC at half.

NCC cannot stop Wheaton, and other than 1 goalline stand they haven't even been able to SLOW Wheaton.

NCC was in real danger of getting blown out but for a "hail mary-ish" TD pass to end to the half.

Augie getting it put to them by NCC on their Homecoming, 28-7 late in the 2nd qtr.  If Augie's DB's don't start to cover someone, NCC will score 60.  Rutter is 19-26 for 255 yards and 2 TDs in the first half.  I have never seen receivers as wide open as NCC's have been, all game.  Most of the incompletions that Rutter has thrown have been either drops or overthrows to wide open receivers, so it could be much worse.  Augie has had some success moving the ball through the air, but not nearly enough to make up for the D's inability to stop North Central.

Carthage @ IWU going to OT at 31 apiece.  The Titans had so many chances to ice this game, but could just not pull it off.

Mr. Ypsi

Double OT in B'town  34 apiece.

Mr. Ypsi

Titans down the Redmen, 40-34, in double OT.

This Wheaton Wash U game feels a lot like the Wheaton IWU game.  Wheaton can't seem to get out of their own way.

Kudos to the Bears defense so far, they are up to the task.

Wheaton 7-3 at the half.
