That was the best 56 seconds of Washington University football I have ever seen.

Wash U now up 10-7.  Great on defense

Recovery WashU.

Wheaton playing a little entitled on offense....

Low hit on Wheaton QB Curtis Mcwilliams has backup QB Jesse Furrow at the helm

Following an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty on Wheaton receiver Phillip Nichols, and a punt out of the Wheaton end zone, WashU goes 35 yards for a TD to up it's lead to 17-7.
Nichols had complained too vociferously about WashU not being called for pass interference.

Definitely should have kicked that field goal.

Halftime

North Central 9
Carthage       7

NCC first points scored when the Carthage center hiked the ball over the QB's head into the end zone. They then connected on a 50 yard Rutter to Hartema pass with 50 seconds left.
Carthage on a 52 yard wide receiver screen with about 3 minutes left in the half.

The wind has played somewhat of a role, but except for the long TD passes, both teams have truly  looked like poo poo on offense. NCC O line doing a fine imitation of Swiss cheese as Carthage has FOUR first half sacks.

 Elmhurst 10- Milikin 7 @ halftime

Titans draw first blood in St. Louis - up 7-0, having eaten up almost 8 minutes of the first quarter.  The wind is apparently quite treacherous, and IWU barely averted disaster on the opening kick-off - the kick was fumbled but the Titans recovered on the 14.

The Bears tie it at 7, two minutes into the second quarter, with a 2-yard pass.

Very entertaining game by two good teams.

It took only three minutes for the Titans to strike back - 14-7 on a Bauer 1-yard run.  Bauer had a couple of intended big runs earlier in the drive, but this one was clearly an uncalled scramble.  Good on ya, Brandon! ;D
