Titan Q

TD Augie...just 30 seconds or so left...Augie will win this one it looks like.

PAT missed

30.3 seconds left

Final:

Augie 20
IWU 17

The Titans got the ball to the Augie 30 with 1.7 seconds to play.   Instead of trying a 45-yard FG into the wind, they ran a pass play, and it was incomplete in the end zone.

This sounded like a very hard-fought game.  It was close throughout.

'live'stats still says 14-14. :P  In the women's soccer game earlier today (a 3-0 Titan win :)), 'live'stats quit after the 68th minute.

From now on, the name is deadstats. ::)

Why not just pull up the WJBC audio?

The location of my computer doesn't allow me to use sound if others are around.  Maybe I'll have to figure out how to use headphones w/ my computer. ;)

BTW, Carthage up on Elmhurst, 28-6, w/ about 6 minutes remaining.

(Naturally, THOSE livestats are working just fine! :P)

Wheaton & Coe just about to kick off.  Will be interesting to see how effective and how long Jordan Roberts will be able to go with his injured finger.  He didn't take any snaps this week due to pain when taking snaps from under center.  Probably will see a lot of shot gun formation today.

If Roberts can't go the entire game, Wheaton will have to go to their 3rd string QB since Meader was hurt last week in the Millkin game.  Kuhn is the 3rd string QB and hasn't taken a snap this year.

Wheaton rushing attack and ball control will be a key.  Wheaton must keep the Coe offense off the field, as they can score.  Wheaton can't get into a shootout.

Lots of missed tackles for Wheaton thus far.  Better change that quickly.

Coe drives 60+ yards on their first drive, but then fumble in the red zone.  Wheaton recovers and returns 20 yards or so.

Wheaton takes over.  Wheaton driving with nothing but runs.  Looks like Wheaton's game plan is to pound the ball since the games Coe has struggled, teams have run effectively.

Wheaton drives to Coe redzone, but 3 penalties for 30 yards stalls drive.  Wheaton misses 51 yard FG.  Had the distance, but wide right.

Tough call to punt there, especially into the wind.

Wheaton scores with 26 seconds in the half, but PAT is blocked.  Coe leads 7-6.

Neither defense is playing particularly well.

Wheaton QB Jordan Roberts is 8-12 for 107 yards, 1 TD, plus 28 yards rushing with a broken finger on passing hand.

Very even game in Wheaton. Neither defense is playing particularly well. Both teams averaging 6.4 yards a play. Wheaton with 230 yards, Coe with 180 (more plays for Wheaton). Difference in game is missed FG by Wheaton and turnover on downs at about the Coe 30 or so.

Penalties are killing Wheaton - 5 for 45 yards thus far, but they've come at key points and have led to stalled drives.
