Those are a couple of TOUGH defenses (even if the pass defenses were almost non-existant early on).

Well, this is the third game in a row where UWW has had a tough, close first half.  We'll see what happens if they hang tough and outlast again, pulling away.  It will be interesting to see if NCC does - if they can outlast the Trine effort of 3/4 of the game.  Thanks for keeping us posted.

As you can see from the other game updates, Mount Union, after a slow start has pulled away as usual.  UMHB is in a closer game with Wesley and, as predicted, so far the Bethel/St. Thomas game is a close one as well.

After a 24 yard(!) sack left UMHB at their own 27, facing 3rd and 34, they got a 31 yard pass followed by a 42 yard TD run!  2 point conversion attempt failed; they are down 19-9 with about 8 minutes to go.

It's been talked about on CCIW ad nauseum, but this is the first time I've seen NCC in several years, and my are they fast and athletic.
