Since mid-2nd quarter, Hope has been dominating the game.

Thus far this year, Wheaton hasn't been able to get Gingg on track.  Wheaton's veteran offense had better pick it up or Hope will take this one.

#62
Wheaton going for it on the Hope 48 - 4th and 2

Actually they "pouch" kick it...  Hope takes over again.  Well see if the Wheaton defense is up for the task.  Hope rushed for over 100 yards in the 3rd quarter, while Wheaton's offense has done nothing.

This is the best game calling duo i have ever heard

Wheaton finally stops Hope, then blocks the punt.  Wheaton takes over in Hope territory.

Ok... the Wheaton offense is supposed to be explosive.  Haven't seen it thus far...

Yes... they are excellent.  The color-man, Doug Rothchild, was an All-American DE at Wheaton in the mid-80's and coached at Wheaton for 4-5 years.  He knows his stuff.

As I'm typing the Wheaton offense wakes up... 30+ yard pass from Norris and then a 7 yard TD pass to Ellis.

Wheaton up 26-13 with just under 12 minutes remaining.

Not only the knowledge, but a great level of enthusiasm without sounding like homers

Ugh!  Hope returns the ensuing KO 62 yards.

TD Hope.  Hope botches the extra point, but Wheaton was offsides.

Hope makes the best of the 2nd try...
Wheaton 26, Hope 20

WOW!  What a pass by Norris!  Pocket collapsing... ball on the money for a 41 yard TD.

Wheaton 32 Hope 20.  YET ANOTHER MISSED EXTRA POINT FOR WHEATON.  3rd miss for the game, at least the 5 or 6th for the season.  That will cost a game for Wheaton at some point.

Sure would be nice to see the OL open some holes for Gingg! >:(

I saw your post earlier on the injuries at Wheaton, Theobold is a sprain ankle and Lang is done with an ACL tear.

Hey Mugsy.....I know you feel all alone here on most game days, but I want you to know I appreciate your in-game play-by-play. I'm usually away at a game and have no opportunity to follow other games around the conference. I enjoy reading your recap to get a feel for how a particular game progressed. Thanks for your effort even though you might think you're broadcasting to only you.  ;) ;D
