LETS ROLL

Great drive and a Big TD for Wheaton.

Score is 9-7, Albion

Albion starts their drive on their own 3 yd line.

Wheaton D NEEDS to hold strong on this drive.

USee

Thunder get a stop and a short field after a punt into the wind. Jordan Roberts goes up top on first play to his brother, Grayson Roberts for a 39 yd TD pass and Wheaton leads 14-9

USee

Wheaton picks off Albion's first play and after a return to the Briton's 30 yd line have scored again via Peter Jarrett and in a 5 minute span have gone from down 0-9 to up 21-9.

From LiveStats it looks like both Meador & Hiben are not playing?  Is that correct?

Yes

A short pass to WR Alex Garvey results in a long run for TD straight down the left sideline.  Garvey can really fly.

3:48, 2nd Q

A late hit out-of-bounds penalty on 3rd down near the 45 kept an Alma drive alive...the Scots went in to score later on that drive.

Albion's TD drive in the 3rd quarter:
19 plays, 89 yards, 10 minutes 42 seconds
Converted 2 4th downs, including 4th and goal from the one.
Impressive.

Wheaton leads 21-15 at the start of the 4th.

Wheaton's response to the Albion drive is a 9 play drive that has them down to the Albion 19.  Wheaton has converted a 4th down as well.

Wheaton fails on their 2nd 4th down play of the drive.  Albion takes over on their 18.

Halftime in Bloomington...

IWU 10
Alma 7

Surprisingly close 1st half.  IWU has made a few big mistakes (INT in endzone, fumbled punt, penalty that kept an Alma drive alive) and Alma's defensive line has done a very good job containing IWU's running game.  At the end of the half, IWU was driving but got stopped on 3rd & 2 and then 4th & 1 from about the 30 (both were run attempts right up the middle).

IWU gets the ball to start the 3rd Q.  If the Titans can clean things up in the 2nd half they should be able to pull away.

9 minutes left to play, Wheaton clinging to a 21-15 lead over Albion.  Albion has already burned all 3 time outs and has none remaining, which could prove costly.

Either a very solid Albion defense, a very bad day for the Wheaton offensive line, or Wheaton's offensive line is weak.

Wheaton has allowed 6 QB sacks today and is only averaging 3.2 yards per carry.  That is not going to get it done.
