Disaster for the Bluejays going in.  Awful, awful, awful decision by Furco to pitch that ball.

6 the other way.  Wow.

Wow... what a turn around.  Elmhurst in the redzone.  Horrible execution on option play results in 86 yard fumble return for Tommies by DT.

I'm a Nebraska season ticket holder, and that was something Taylor Martinez would do.  Wow.

Extremely poor decision by a Sr. QB.  3 Tommie defenders in the vicinity.  Separation between QB and pitch man was less than 2 yards.  Should have just held it for a -1 yard loss.

That's a game changer.    Furco had been so solid but that was a horrible decision.

Not sure what he was thinking.

Elmhurst is moving the ball very effectively in the first half against a supposedly stout defense.  Just a matter of a key turnover for a TD and then a defensive lapse (which was a concern coming into the game).

Will be interesting to see how they respond.

Elmhurst defense needs to keep St. Thomas from scoring with 4 minutes left in the half.  Elmhurst needs to quiet the momentum and get some confidence on defense.  Going into the half with a 21-14 deficit is much easier to overcome than 28-14.

It feels like Elmhurst is in huge trouble in this game.  It all turned on that one play.

I'm not optimistic.  Elmhurst's best defense is limiting possessions with their offense.

Big FG attempt by St. Thomas.  Their kicker isn't great.

He misses 33 yard attempt.  I believe they are hitting on just over 50% of FG attempts.  That will hurt them later in playoffs, if they can get past a gusty Elmhurst team.

21-14 at the half.

Missed FG by St. Thomas.  Huge for EC!

St. Thomas 21
Elmhurst 14

Half

EC is right there.

Who gets the 2nd half kickoff?

I think Elmhurst but I missed the start.

Not 100% sure since I joined the telecast 6 minutes into the game.  I believe St. Thomas had the ball first on a long drive that stalled on a key penalty.   That leads me to believe Elmhurst will have ball first in 2nd half.
