Litte East tournament:

opening round, played Tuesday, Feb 22 at the higher seed, semifinals (Friday, Feb 25) & finals (Sat, Feb 26) at Rhode Island College, who ended up with the #1 seed.

#6 Plymouth state (11-13, 5-9) @ #3 Eastern Connecticut (17-8, 10-4)
#5 Massachusetts-Dartmouth (11-14, 7-7) @ #4 Keene state (16-9, 8-6)
Plymouth state/East Conn winner gets the #2 seed Western Connecticut (21-4, 11-3) in 1 semifinal while the Dartmouth/Keene winner play @ #1 RIC (17-7, 11-3) in the other semifinal.

IWU was #4 and Carthage #5 in the D3hoops.com preseason poll.  :o

Yep.  People are not very happy with the seasons in either location. :(  (On paper, those rankings seemed justified.  IWU reached the Elite Eight and returned everyone but the #2 PG.  Carthage had 'all-universe' Steve Djurickovic - and his dad on the bench with 5 national titles at NPU.  Hard to explain what happened to either team.)

NCC on the other hand has had an amazing turnaround - from 4-7 pre-conference to possibly being the #1 seed in the tourney!
