Middlebury defeats Amherst 67-61 and will face Williams for the NESCAC Championship. Williams defeated Trinity 79-69 earlier today.

MIT beat Springfield for the 3rd time this year, led by Mitch Kates who had 22 points, 7 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals.

WPI beat Coast Guard in the other semifinal, although the game was close throughout.

The battle of The Engineers will commence tomorrow at 1 PM (at WPI).  WPI's starting center, and probably their best player, Matt Carr went down with an ankle injury and looks doubtful for tomorrow.  WPI's backup PF/C Fernando Perez also didnt play today.  If both dont play tomorrow, that would give MIT a big advantage inside with their All-Conference big man Will Tashman (6'8"), fellow starter Will Dickson (6'8"), and their bench which has a lot of size (even with Noel Hollingsworth out for the season).  Should be an interesting final.  MIT is looking to make the tourney for the third year in a row.

Salve Regina wins the CCC Championship and the AQ.  At 17-10, they could be the worst team in the tournament.  A middling seed for the conference tournament, SRU turned on the perimeter defense to stifle outside shooting, whilst their sharp-shooter, Wendell Hinkson, launched them from deep seemingly without end.  PG Ryan Birrell has a triple double on his resume from this season, but he's had trouble keeping the TOs down.  We'll see who they match up with.
