The OAC is quite often an upset filled tournament.
Often, but not this year.  The #1, #2, and #3 seeds each advanced with 11-point victories tonight.  In the mildest of upsets, #5 Heidelberg won at #4 ONU by a bucket.

Semifinals Friday at JCU:
#3 Capital vs. #2 Wilmington
#5 Heidelberg vs. #1 JCU

The MIAA first round holds serve.

#1 Calvin over #8 Alma
#2 Hope over #7 Trine
#3 Adrian over #6 Kalamazoo
#4 Olivet over #5 Albion

The semifinals will be held Friday night at Calvin

#2 Hope vs. #3 Adrian -- 6:00pm
#1 Calvin vs. #4 Olivet -- 8:15pm

This is a minor typo, but there was a small upset in the NEWMAC tonight, #5 Clark won at #4 Wheaton.  Mark Simon called all 3 games correctly, the guy knows his NEWMAC basketball.

Will MIT send Clark a nice gift basket for beating Wheaton?

Mr. Ypsi

I went and asked on the NEWMAC board instead of here. :P

Hugenerd, is MIT grateful to Clark, or disappointed they can't seek revenge?

(For those not catching the reference, MIT's ONLY two d3 losses are to Wheaton.)

As an aside... do (or did) any conference playing their tourney this weekend play any regular season games this week?

Stevens Tech the #4 seed in the Empire 8 conference played a regular season game on Tuesday night. They take on #1 seed St. John Fisher on Friday.

GSAC tips off Fri (which only matters if you're following the Bs)
No. 1 Maryville (Tenn) vs No. 4 Huntingdon
No. 2 Piedmont vs No. 3 LaGrange

but, and I'm asking for help here, is there any other conf men's tourney this year being played at an all-female institution? GSAC doing both mens and womens at Agnes Scott.

And yes they have borrowed a set of men's basketballs for the guys to use.

Wow. It must feel like Fleet Week in NYC for the young ladies at Agnes Scott.

That's hilarious - I wonder what the back-story is on that?!

Will Wabash host the NCAC women's tourney next year? :D
