I see that I am missed. Sorry for not being around after the game, I know that a lot of dabash 3rd world Nation has abandonment issues. After that travesty on Saturday, you will be happy to know that I decided to take a few days of vacation to reflect on what occurred. I am currently in California getting a few days of beach and pool time to reflect.    Don't worry, I will be back in the "real" world on Wednesday to provide my thoughts.

Saturday's game was a little revenge for 1998. (I am only sorry that Wabash didn't hang 70- or 80 points on them in 2002 as well.)  Unfortunately in 98, Wabash got booted from the playoffs, and in 2010, and DePauw got a 3 seed - go figure.  I think the system with AQ's is a whole lot better and I suspect that DPU fans wouldn't disagree.  However, as the Colts found out the hard way, when you take you foot off the pedal at the end of the season and lose momentum, it is a hard thing to find again.  While the Committee may have rewarded the Tigers for getting monkey stomped, old Mo is not as foregiving as DPU will likely find out on Saturday.

Great lines from the HDNet Boradcast on Saturday.

Paul Mcguire "Depauw just needs to focus on the good things that happened in today's game because they have a game next week"  He then concluded the thought "Well, I guess they have one or two things"  ;)

Going to commercial at 33-0,  "Blowout in Crawfordsville"

It's interesting to think about where on the board the committee had DPU BEFORE Saturday if they wound up as a #3 seed.  Makes you wonder how  much of the bracket they had done before game results came in on Saturday.

It's probably not fair to compare what happened on Saturday to what the Colts have done at the end of their seasons in the past.  I don't think DPU mailed this game in on Saturday so that they'd be rested for the tournament.  The Tiger starters were in the game until the extra bitter end (I was doing some head scratching there...I'm not sure why you are using your starting QB and A-A WR in the fourth quarter of a game that you can not win...I know Koors is chasing a record, but come on).  No, this wasn't a throwaway game for DePauw by any stretch.  They expected to win.

I also liked where Maguire suggested that DPU not bother watching the game film. I wonder if they did.

I was wondering about that myself. Having Engle and Koors in seemed like a bad idea because either of those guys get hurt late in a blowout and now you've guaranteed a loss next week.

The reason Wabash won so convincingly on Saturday. (Only people who grew up in C. Indiana might get this)

Bwah-hah-hah!!!

For DPU, this game film was burnt on the bus and thrown out of the window between Fincastle and Parkersburg.

Wabash College and Wabash, IN are similar to Austin College and Austin, TX - not in the same locale  ;)  There might be a crack or two in some farmer's plowed-under beanfield, though.   ;D

My bad!

Shucks, Crawfordsville is not even located on the Wabash River!
