We will even supply metal utensils.  ;)

My guess is we will not hear from Depauw faithful until March or later.  Their change in seeding, caused by getting totally waxed today,  will secure an early exit from the playoffs......

1 and out Dannies.... graduating almost your entire team........

See ya next year for some more fun!  I am sure this Wabash team that returns a ton will remember what a blast today was!

Update -

Breckenridge, signed out and left or went into stalker mode.  As I thought, he didn't have the guts to say a word.  Bravo Breck......  again, watch the peanuts.

7 - Number of first downs for the powerful Tigers

95 - Number of Total Yards on offense today

11 - Number of yards rushing for the confident conference champions

2 -  Number of 3rd downs converted out of 15 opportunities

12 -  Number of passes complete on 33 attempts

0 -  Number of times in the redzone for this unbeatable Tiger team

I won't even discuss defensive stats.

repost from NCAC board...

D is for dominate. And that is what you did in all three phases today...to put it mildly. After a tough season with some devastating injuries, your guys stepped up in THE game. They and you have much to be proud of. I have no doubt the Tigers will come back from this...but tonight it's very tough. That's why they play the game, baby. Enjoy the win...you deserve it Wallies.

Thanks DPU fan, for a gracious concession. Wabash was just unreal- couldn't seem to anything wrong no matter how hard they tried. DePauw's vaunted ground game laid an egg-although it wouldn't have been so bad, without -47 yards from the long snapper. No blocked punts, but with that it wasn't really neccessary.
You'll come back, this rivalry always comes back, even after a humiliation like '98, the 2d half in '09 and today. Keep in there pitching-we need your perception and grace to balance the crap that other representatives dump out come next October, when BreckenridgeBoor starts to spew. I personally saw 7 Bell games in person, all losses, until I broke through in 2006.

My 33rd straight Monon Bell game is in the books.  From the moment I walked onto the Wabash campus in 1978, I have never missed it.

In those 33 years, Wabash leads the series 17-14-2.

Interestingly, Wabash is now 7-2-0 in midterm election years.  The last of those 2 losses ocurred in 1998, the year the Dannies cheated by spying on Wabash practices.  If they had been honorable, perhaps Wabash would be 8-1-0.

Still, 7-2-0 is pretty good.

Where Wabash has problems is during presidential election years.   1-5-2 the past 33 years.

Food for thought.  Or something.

So... we got our ass kicked today.

DePauw was not prepared for the Wabash blitz. DePauw was not prepared for mobile quarterbacks. DePauw wasn't really prepared for anything. We couldn't run it. We couldn't throw it. We had no success in any phase of the game. Horrible preparation, horrible gameplan, horrible execution.

I'm embarassed. That sucked out loud. Helluva job Wabash. You earned every second of that. Total domination of a good football team. Best effort of the year by a mile. LG'a proved it today for sure.

What an embarrassment.  Hats off to Wabash's determination, preparation, and execution today.

DePauw Never Quits!

Wabash, with some help, may have gotten into the playoffs with that win. We shall see.

I just hope they make it on the board for consideration.  If they do, with some of the things that materialized today, they may have a chance.   Coming into today, it was Wooster win and they were in.  Witt win and they are out.

Beating a regionally ranked team 47-0 has to raise a few eyebrows.

Dunno.  DePauw mauled a regionally ranked Wabash team 2 years ago and got nada.

Hats off to the men who favor garish red garb.  There's no debate about who the better team is/was on this day.  I think DePauw's team bus is in a parallel universe still looking for the stadium -- they may never show up.

Li'l Giant

DePauw had 2 in-region losses that year. Might not make a bit of difference that Wabash only has one this year but theoretically it matters.

If that bus is still out there, you might want to remind the bus driver that the Tigers have a game next week. Can't stay out there looking for today's game forever.
