The weather looks decent for the game.  Is it really still Cortaca if its not snowing or raining and freezing cold?
Don't sweat it. Since when it the forecast up there ever accurate?

Good point. Ithaca students pay 5x as much for the same crappy weather.

So maybe it's time to nudge this board back toward football.  What if the weather is crappy?  That would seem to favor CState given that IC has no running game and depends on the pass.  Might be worth sitting in the rain yet again!

Are there any injuries lingering on either team that are notable?  I know Dom Sair returned to the field this past week but once again injured his ankle so will likely not play.  Any IC injuries to speak of?

You can throw the weather right out the window..... it's Cortaca!!!

I can't remember the last time there was crappy weather at Cortaca though.... or did it rain in 2006? 2002?

RedDragonFan

Pretty sure 2008 would be considered crappy weather.  It was freezing rain/sleet/snow.  From a fans perspective it was horrendous conditions.  I simply didn't have enough pregame to numb myself to the cold!

I have gone since I was a freshman in 03.  I can remember 1 MAYBE 2 games where the weaher was tolerable.  The rest have been miserable.

Cortaca is always won on big plays.  Special teams, big defensive plays, and long scoring plays.

maxpower

What? I remember the weather being fine in 03, 04 (maybe? watched on TV), 05, 07, and 09....

Hmmm... maybe the sun only shines on Butterfield....

cstate19

03 was cold as all heck and it rained for chunks of the game (Butterfield was a mess, Tutweilers bomb to set up he GW FG was caught when the DB slipped in the mud)

maxpower

ok.... i was in the press box so i thought i might have been remembering it wrong.

Ahh aging. Memory is usually one of the first things to go Max.  Pretty soon you will have forgotten all about the recent string of Cortaca wins too. ;D

maxpower

Oh... is that what happened? So you're telling me it's a tradition for Cortland fans to leave after the half when their team is up?

XREDDRAGON77

Sun was shining with a beautiful red sunset when we won at Butterfield in '99!
Taste It!

When Cortland's seniors graduate at the end of this season, which will they regret never having experienced the most?

1. A Cortaca victory
2. Functional literacy
3. The touch of a woman

The Ithaca Seniors and grads also have regret number 3.

Joke:

"Your side does a certain negative thing."

Response:

"Your side ALSO does that thing! So there!"

KS, did you get a master's at cortland or something?

Ithaca cheerleader bored by the banter.

"In the end we will survive rather than perish not because we accumulate comfort and luxury but because we accumulate wisdom"  Colonel Jack Jacobs US Army (Ret).

Is a 50K a year education better if you forget everything 5 years later? If their memories fade do IC grads forget the reach arounds that the upperclassmen they were forced to take in hopes of joining a Cornell wanna be frat?

yes, it is better.

Cstate, better not stir up old memories for our IC posters.  May slow down the rate at which they are able to post due to a sudden desire to type one handed as they recall the good old days and listen to Bette Midler on their iPods.
