Markeith Wilson is one at 6'4 playing the 3

Never heard of him.

You must be new here......Coach has been plugging his guy for a while now.

I'd say Novosel and DiBartolomeo from Rochester should be in the mix

HF is well aware of Markeith Wilson. He was just having a little fun at the expense of Markeith's coach.

You've been pimping Markeith so much, if and when I do get to see him play, there's no possible way he can live up to expectations.

I got to see Cory Lemons from Cabrini play a couple of times.  Talent-wise, he's among the best d3 players I've ever seen.  I did not see the kind of drive or intensity from him that you'd expect from the top performers.  He's an older student with a family and other responsibilities - that might have something to do with it.  I don't know.

In terms of pure ability, though, he's quite impressive.

Let me put it this way nobody else will so i will do it he has all american numbers he is 6'4 and can shoot from deep and post up anybody did not start for our team but put up starter numbers and you can ask hopefan he saw him play

Ralph Turner

The best thing to help Wilson will be for us to see him on video stream at some games this year.

I think that the coach has a point. It's less about Markeith Wilson, really, and more about Rust College. The Bearcats are an independent, which means that they don't have a conference room on d3boards.com where they can be touted (or criticized) by fans from various conference schools. And the geographic isolation of Rust, coupled with that indie status, forces the Bearcats to have to play a lot of games against non-D3 competition, further reducing the chances that somebody who frequents this site is going to have a chance to see the Bearcats play. It all adds up to significantly reduced opportunities for any Bearcat to get commentary on his play on d3boards.com. The only reason why Hopefan is an exception is because he went well out of his way to travel to Holly Springs, MS out of both traveler's curiosity and a diehard attitude towards watching D3 hoops. Short of Rust playing a team that has its games webcasted, as Ralph mentioned, that isolation is likely to be just as true for the Bearcats in 2011-12 as it was last season.

In short, if the coach isn't tooting Markeith's horn, nobody will -- because nobody who lurks or posts here is ever likely to see Markeith play.

And i will keep pushing it until he is preseason all american and if you want to know what school we played that was D3 last year and they know who he is: Birmingham-Southern, Mount Union, Rhodes, Hendrix, University of Dallas, Webster, Piedmont, Millsaps, LaGrange, Berry and Covenant

hopefan

out of curiosity, and I never asked Coach, why didn't Wilson start last year?  do you see him starting this year?

I know great 6th man situations exist throughout all levels of basketball, but I'm not so sure any 6th man ever got too far on the All American charts... Greg? Any good examples you can remind me of besides John Havlicek ;D ;D.

I am pretty sure that Coach Bunch told me that Webster will be playing Rust again this year, perhaps twice...  if so, I'll get to see Rustcollege and Markeith Wilson again
The only thing not to be liked in Florida is no D3 hoops!!!

How is there no one from my Virginia Wesleyan Marlins on that list? a sweet 16 team that returns everyone including the NATIONAL FRESHMEN OF THE YEAR DJ Woodmore, and preseason all-american last year in Donald Vaughn. Definitely going to be 1,2,or 3 in the preseason poll next year.

There was no snub. KnightSlappy merely reproduced the list of d3hoops.com All-American and All-Region teams from last year and extracted the seniors. There were no VWC players on those lists.
