out of curiosity, and I never asked Coach, why didn't Wilson start last year?  do you see him starting this year?

I know great 6th man situations exist throughout all levels of basketball, but I'm not so sure any 6th man ever got too far on the All American charts... Greg? Any good examples you can remind me of besides John Havlicek ;D ;D.

I am pretty sure that Coach Bunch told me that Webster will be playing Rust again this year, perhaps twice...  if so, I'll get to see Rustcollege and Markeith Wilson again
Well hopfan the reason he came off the bench was because he ask to come off the bench

Most likely he will start unless he want that role again

Me too, more times than I can count.   I've even been on campus at Rust, just not during basketball season.  If I still lived in the town that gave me my former posting identity, I'd make a point to go see some Rust home games.

If Rhodes College leaves the SCAC and doesn't immediately join a new conference, they might find room on their schedule for games against their US 78 neighbors.

Funny that the coach was trying to prop up his player. I recently wrote an article compiling all the Division 2, Division 3, NAIA divisions 1 & 2 players together to form a top 161 player ranking. I listed Markeith in there. I swear that I have not been contacted by this coach, and I only discovered these forums just yesterday.

Let me know what you all think.

Obviously, I have not observed these players as often as you have. I have seen Lamonte Thomas play more than a few times and many of the others. But, I am sure that you would have more in depth opinions of some of the guys I mention on this list. Let me know what you feel about the rankings. I actually included DJ from Virginia Wesleyan as well as some other guys who were not mentioned in the returning all americans discussion. I feel that James Wang from Williams should be ranked very high. I also like David Gibbs as a breakout candidate for this year.

Hugenerd

As listed on the Sporting News list, Noel Hollingsworth is back this season for MIT after missing last season due to injury. He was NEWMAC POY 2 years ago, as well as 1st team NE. He was also 2nd team AA on the NABC list. They also have Will Tashman, who was all NE region last year and Mitch Kates, who was NE newcomer of the year 2 years ago. I think all 3 deserve consideration as top players at their respective positions in the NE.  With Hollingsworth injured last year, all three are juniors with respect to eligibility this year.

First off, HN - Congradulations on the 'DOC'  Hope all is going well for you!

I agree than Hollinsworth should be on the list, but it will be very interesting to see how the MIT schedule affects his numbers this year and how people will evaluate them.  I just posted in the NEWMAC forum how weak the MIT non-conference schedule is (9 sub .500 teams - 5 of them with less than 10 wins).  Noel may put up big numbers if he plays 30 minutes a game against that schedule, OR if he plays lower minutes in games that are blow-outs (and they should have a lot of them), his numbers may be down from 2 years ago.

All depends on how Coach Anderson plays it, but I personally feel that he, Tashman & Kates will all have big statistical seasons against that schedule.
