He's a bit of a screamer   :o
yep---and he constantly makes premature calls and wrong assumptions......
Go Cats!

Yeah George, I was referring to the play by play Joe.

Anyone who lives in McMinnville please go find Joe and ask him not to be such a homer and not to yell so much .  Like Gary McCarvie told him,  "You can't get excited in a football game."

He has done that forever.   He was worse when he was the defensive coach 20 years ago.

GT
wrong Joe, George.  This was in reference to our play by play announcer Joe, "pardon me" Stuart....
Go Cats!

Wow Man, that's the first time I'm going to disagree with you.
He can afford to make a few tweeks in his game and become better.

He would make a good soccer announcer.  Gooooaaaalll!  Ha
I don't mind him too much, it's a tough job.  But I do wish he would at least work on reducing the "pardon me" uses.

Joe's a young guy.  2nd year ever doing football.  He works hard and I think over time he'll make adjustments and settle in nicely.

At least he's not giving you constant D1 score update throughout the entire broadcast.  ;D

Ice Bear

The Ice Bear will admit that while he did admittedly enjoy the Wildcat commentators, and said so, towards the end of the game the screaming did get to be a bit much. Ice says but in a way it represents the passion and love so many of us have for D3 football. Ice says we don't need to be polished and always professional here in d3. We can be excitable and ****ing over the top sometimes as we have the privilege of watching serious student athletes compete with all their heart. The Bear says in support of that, he'll take some ****ing screaming from the play by play guy lol. Ice really enjoyed that game yesterday. Congrats to Linfield for facing some adversity, making some adjustments, and then slamming the door shut at the end.
A long time fan of DIII Football!

I think he can improve by 1) toning down the yelling just a bit 2)  waiting a beat before making a call so he doesn't have to constantly correct himself ("pardon me").  I also think Linfield can help him and his partner out by finally figuring out a way to put a broadcast booth somewhere without a dang post in the way of parts of the field!  :o
Go Cats!

Yep! I say "burn the dang post" and replace it with an I-beam. Me and my all-volunteer crew have it done by next Spring. ::) ::)

BTW, don't let hazzben get in your heads this week, he's got plenty of BU propaganda to go around.  My boss' daughter graduated from there and he was not to happy with the school. ;D ;D But I'm not telling. LOL
Don't forget your booties cause it's cold out there!

I haven't watched a lot of other d3 game broadcasts.  Watching the Trinity broadcast right now and I'd have to say they have a better videocast than LSN, and that's really saying something.  Really impressive.
I'm rooting for Trinity but it's not looking good.

FAC . . . did you have to download an app to watch the home games this year?

I did not.  I have an iphone and an ipad, and works no problem.
And then I have a smart tv which allows me to mirror my screen to my TV so I can watch it on the big screen.
