Chapman looks pretty good.
That is why I picked them in the pick ems. I have watched both Redlands and Chapman a couple times this year. Chapman's D can be suspect at times, but they can score. I also don't think Redland's D is as good as people make them out to be and their offense is just so/so. So should be even, but Panthers at home. If anyones cares.  ;D

Me too--and Redlands' offense is really worse than "so so"

Now a fumble returned for a TD.  30-14, and yes, they have fallen in a big way.

D O.C.

Big Chapman run extended by a face mask into the red zone. Another penalty moves them back.
Field goal 10-7, Black

CLU gets 6 and cuts Oxy's lead to 30-20

Willamette is over rated and should drop out of the top 25;  Pacific very impressive (for being only 4 years old). I like the Boxers chances to secure 3rd place in NWC by beating the Bearcats in Salem. It should be a good game. Too bad only two from NWC will probably have a chance to play on 11/23. It would be cool to see Pacific get that chance.
not that I'm wishing for this by any means....but if Pacific beat Linfield....you could have 3 1 loss teams (assuming a few other wins here and there) in the NWC....then what does the selection committee do? Or if Willamette beat Linfield and won out....same thing....
Even though I like the DIII playoff system better than the DI system it still leaves a lot to be desired. There are 4 possibly 5 teams on the west coast that deserve a date at the dance on 11/23 but will not get to go because of geography. While there are some teams back east (aka Albion) that would not make it past the 4 or 5 west coast teams I am thinking of. I would love to see a system that gave automatics to 1nd and 2nd place conference finishers regardless of geography, and awarded at large's to 3rd and 4th place finishers based on sos and other criteria regardless of location. First place (and possibly second place) finishers should not have to meet in the first round. Just sayin ::)

I disagree with the assessment that Willamette was "overrated".  Up until this week their body of work had them right where they were.  Certainly ahead of Pacific.  Now, with this weeks results, if I had a vote, I would move Pacific even with Willamette or slightly ahead.  The proof will come when they play.

As far as getting more teams in.........We are fortunate when we get a second team in.  I would like to see a rule where teams from the same conference never meet in the first round.  I would put them in entirely different brackets, like D1 basketball does.  But I know because of money that won't happen.  At the least, we should be able to stop getting the conference foes playing again in the first round.  but money talks.

Pressure getting to Chapman? They are imploding.
