Give the Pirates credit, they always play WU tough.  Last year they won in 2 OTs.  I say, again, more forcefully, those two goal line stands were huge.

31-29 C-LU at the end of the 3rd and Rogers goes out with a shoulder problem after a long catch?
Yep.

Yep.

...and he's back just in time to gut out a TD.  Get that man an ice bath.  38-29 CLU.

D O.C.

He's not that hurt. Catches an alley-oop TD three plays later.

Wide open CLU TD.
45-29.
10;20 to go

It's Ustream. They're automated and the broadcaster has no control over their timing.

Thank-you.
I'll sail on downstream.

Gutsy effort by Cal Lu getting through some injuries tonight and getting the win. Rodgers is a hell of a player and played big tonight. Redlands had their chances but needed to be almost perfect to beat an athletic and physical team like CLU. Not sure why Redlands can't get the same type of athletes in the program as admissions/tuition are no different. Good luck to CLU the rest of the way and up at the CatDome.

Well, think that's all she wrote. Don't see Peterson throwing them back into this game. Or the D stopping Willamette from doing whatever they want to.

Bearcats are good, PLU and Willamette should battle for 2nd. Too mistake prone to knock off Linfield if you ask me. Whitworth is going to struggle to stop every other offense they play (maybe even UPS) unfortunately.

Not so fast, my friend.  Don't forget that Willamette still hasn't figured out how to close out a game ...

... maybe, but while the Bearcats are figuring it out, keep the wins coming anyway!

I have Willamette in the mid-teens in my top 25.  Dangerous team and easily the most seasoned team (in terms of age) with 15 senior starters.  This is their best shot at making some noise because most of the conference is bring back a truck load in 2013.  But it's all about right now and WU is a big contender for the NWC title.

The MBH-LC game was interesting--the first half was a tight battle--LC had a FG and was leading with .1 second left in the first half--atttempted a pretty short FG to end the half only to have it blocked and returned for a MHB TD---2nd half was all MHB.  Can't help but wonder how it may  have gone had LC gone into the half up 6-0 instead of down 6-3 (MHB had the PAT blocked).
Go Cats!
