Good season, just ran into a better team.

I'll be back for baseball season. 8-)
agreed---MHB is a lot to handle--especially when they don't have selfinflicted wounds.  Aside from the 2 INTs, the stats were pretty close--but MHB finished their drives and the CATS were stopped each time they got near....

Being there for both games gave me a different view of the game then some of the comments l have read. UMHB is the complete package and l felt they were more dominant today then they were in September even through the scoring differential was larger in September. The big advantage they had over us was the speed speed speed of their defense both on D line and unbelievable closing speed in their secondary. Several times it looked like our receivers were open but they closed so quickly. They weren't going to let our passing game beat them. Baylor Mullins and his crew were a handful. On the other side Jackson showed he will hurt you equally with his legs and arm. He threw some great balls to Hosey and give Hosey credit he went up and made some great grabs with a defender right on him. MC l think we saw their team speed first time around but seemed much more pronounced to me this time. It would be hard to pick against them the rest of the way. Cats fought hard but were just overmatched by a darn good team. I hope UMHB gets their first title. MC do you ever remember a Linfield offense being shut with regards to scoring a TD ?
2007 vs the RATS (lost 10-6), 2008 vs Menlo (but we won 9-0) oh and southern oregon shut us out in 2001, but maybe you were asking about the playoffs (?)

Nope l was just wondering but to lazy sitting here in the Austin Airport to look it up and figured you would come through. I was at that Menlo game come to think of it and it was a real snoozer.

1991 NAIA Semifinals, PLU 23, Linfield 0

I was at that game. It was the most dominated I recall a 'Cat team being in the playoffs, at least in my lifetime, and from the 90's on. I don't think there was more than one occasion that Linfield even came close to scoring that game.

PLU would go on to the NAIA NC game that year. Linfield would return the favor the following season, defeating the Lutes in the playoffs and going to the NC game.

1991 was the year that started the streak of a team from our conference making it to the NAIA NC game every year through 1997. And then PLU won the D3 NC in 1999.

PLU, Linfield, Central WA, Western WA & Willamette all made it to the NC game during this time.

It was quite the decade for small NW football teams.
A packed student section behind an end zone cheering on guys they will actually see in class on Monday is almost as cool as The Streak.

Ever wonder why there is no OAC in-game updates board?

Breaker! Breaker!
Alfred announcers just commenting on how the Saxons are gaining confidence seeing how they can actually play with MUC. Then they give up a fumble for a TD and are down 21-7 in the first Q.  Thats like my Lutes are competitive with Linfield.  ;D

was busy doing yard work and forgot to come in for the game---maybe I'll go out for a while longer....
Go Cats!

Yeah--28-7:  Might as well be productive until the "real games" start.

yard work for me today would be snow plowing the driveway, finally got a few inches of snow overnight.  But its still pitch black so I'll wait till after the games are over.  plus I gotta go to my kids basketball games this morning.

Don't go MCat. You'll miss Alfred scoring!
