Random observation- Pomona needs to put in turf or call the Redlands grounds crew because their grass is awful.

Barir scores his 4th TD of the day from 1 yard out and P-P gets the 2-point conversion.  About 9:43 left in the game and Cal Lu leading 31-28.

Huge 63 yard TD pass for Cal Lu right after Pomona got closer but Pomona blocks the PAT.  37-28 Cal Lu with about 8 1/2 left

Barir scores his 5th TD on 4th and 3 and doesn't even come close to being touched.  He now has 23 carries for 231 yards and 5 TD's.  37-35 Cal Lu with 5 minutes left.

Wow.....Wendel O'Brien takes a quick slant for 70 yards down to the 3 or 4 and Cal Lu punches it in.  Absolute back-breaker for Pomona after getting within 2.  O'Brien now has 9 catches for 214  yards and 3 TD's.

Yeah. The one in the first half was excellent coverage that turned into a Leo reception.

Cal Lu takes a 43-35 lead and they decide to go for 2?  What in the heck are they thinking?!?!?

Pomona scores with 43 seconds left to cut the lead to 43-41 and they pass on the 2-point conversion and it's incomplete.  I have no idea why they didn't run a guy that is averaging 10.2 a carry but what do I know?

Cal Lu gets the insides kick and walk away with a 43-41 win.  Cal Lu is very lucky to win this game and honestly, they shouldn't have won it.  They have a massive issue with their d-line and they had 4 personal fouls that really hurt them.

My main observations from this game:

1- Barir is an absolute beast
2- Cal Lu's d-line needs work
3- Pomona's grass is terrible.  I don't live out there but unless it has rained a bunch lately, there is no reason for these players to have muddy uniforms
4- A lot of referees in the Pomona stands.  I really wish they would find a way to block out the crowd noise on their broadcast (the kid doing the broadcast did a fantastic job)

Cal Lu has had too many season end in Oregon I just assume they not make it at all.
